Later Danny returns to his mothers house to prepare for Zenkei
He and his mother prepare food as they're both silent
"By the way Dillan and I are moving into the Dorm beside you." she comments
"WHAT?!" Danny stutters almost cutting his finger off with the knife.
"Yeah, We got the call today, all families of UA students are to be moved into the Dorms which are being converted into shelters for people who've lost their homes in these trying times." she says without looking away from what she's doing.
"I was going to tell you, but turns out we Hide things in this family until the day of."
"Yeah, I guess we do." Danny responds remembering the revelation Taro told him of. "I'm.... I'm sorry mom." Danny apologizes.
his mother stops for a second before looking at her son
"I am too, I'm happy for you two, I'm sure Zenkei is a lovely girl with an exquisite taste in men." she jokes.
Danny: *Laughs in not knowing how to take a compliment*
"I'm still going to act like I'm still mad at you when she's here by the way." his mom continues chuckling and punching Danny in the shoulder.
after that Danny considers confronting his mom about what Taro told him
"Hey mom--"
before he can ask the doorbell rings
"I GOT IT!" Dillan shouts running toward the door.
TW:"Still weird mom adopted him..."
"Yeah I guess." Danny responds mentally. "But apparently his Previous Foster family left him on the street making him think it was a game of Tag for about a year and a half. So I doubt we're any worse."
Dillan walks in with Zenkei.

The two awkwardly shuffle around each other not knowing if they should kiss, hold hands, or hug.
eventually they compromise at a high five.
"Oh my god you two deserve each other." Joan mutters under her breath...
"So.." Joan begins "You're the Girlfriend Danny here NEGLECTED to tell me about until this morning..."
she puts her hand on Danny's shoulder squeezing it tightly without breaking her smile and eye contact with Zenkei who decides to take a step back.
Danny:"I'm so sorry Zenkei... I kinda forgot to tell my mom that we were dating until she found out you were coming for dinner... and I also forgot My mom adopted Dillan..."
she grips harder before leading Zenkei into the dining room where Dinner has already been prepared and served
Tacos
"I'm so sorry... Zenkei was it? I would have made something but SOMEONE neglected to tell me we were having company, Thus.... Tacos."
"Ta-cos?" Zenkei asks in confusion.
