Chapter 5: Reuniting as one

Ymir's POV

"Mikasa cant i just step out of this bed and take a look at the windows?"

"No ymir, you must stay in the bed until you regain energy" mikasa told me

I letted out a loud groan.
"Fine"

Mikasa continued to read her book until there was a knock at the door downstairs, of course mikasa went down to check while im here being tucked in this damn bed.
I didnt know who were the ones outside the door so i decided to take a nap for a few minutes until mikasa comes back.

About 30 minutes later i heard footsteps coming near the door, i still wanted to continue my nap so i didn't care to open my eyes well not until i heard a certain someones voice..

"How is she doing?.."

"Hopefully shes recovering just fine, though its a bit hard babysitting her because of her stubbornness" i heard mikasa say that

I heard a very familiar chuckle.. and the voice seems very familiar as well.. its so angelic that its music to my ears..
Yet again i hear someone coming closer to me, then i felt a very soft and warm hand caressing my face.

"I'll leave you two be.. historia" mikasa said

Wait..

Historia?!

Historia's the one beside me right now!? God im so nervous

"Thanks mikasa" i hear historia reply to mikasa as she heads out of the room.

It was silent..
Though historia's hand is still in my face, putting aside my brown hair that is scattered around the right side of my face.

I hear her let out a sigh

"I missed you ymir.. i guess my wish really did come true.. though it took some time" she said but still i remained closing my eyes.
I don't even know how to face her even after what i did to her, i left her and ended up not protecting her...

Silence again

"I know you're awake ymir, you're too bad at pretending to be asleep"

Ah fuck

Am i that damn obvious?!

Well its historia we're talking about, damn i can't get enough of her

"U-uhhh alright you got me" i said as i sit up from the bed opening my eyes slowly

Ah.. she's as beautiful as the day i left her...im such a bastard..

I stared at her

"H-historia.. I-im sorry for e-everything i did...im sorry for leaving you...im sorry for being selfish.... I dont even know if you forgive me or not.. but thats fine...i know you wont even dare to forgive me for my actions..."

Silence again..

"S-so y-your married now huh? L-lucky guy m-must have caught your type ey? I heard you also have a little one already.. i-im happy for you" i stuttered

Goddamn it, i try to hard to not break into tears and act like a coward in front of her.. well im already a coward anyway but still...im already trembling.. the cold tension was torturing me but..

Suddenly...

I felt historia hugging me.. snuggling in my chest.. well of course, what i always do.. I always hug her back..

"Y-you i-idiot! What took you long to come back to me? I've waited for you for so long! You shouldn't have left me, i got forced to be married and bare a child with but never have i ever replaced my love for you ymir!...
I still want you...even after this whole time...n-now.. that you're back.. all i want is to be with you...everyday..." Historia cried, sobbing in every word she says

I cant help but break my walls down as well, i cant stand it anymore... Seeing her cry pains me but it also hurts to know that she went all through this because of what i did..

"W-what about your family?..." I asked

"Obviously... I-i'd want to have a divorce with my husband... I dont love him... I only love you ymir.. they already have a child with royal blood to take over Paradis.. they don't need me anymore...but.. i need you so damn much..." She said hugging me tighter

"Even all this time... Even after i left you... You still held on..."

"Well of course.. are you an idiot ymir? Didn't we promise that we will get married? I dont care which place or when. In the afterlife or here i swear that we will both furfill our dream to be together as one"

After i hear her say that i couldn't help myself but cry more.. i didnt expect things to end up like this..
Unexpectedly while we were at our comforting session we heard bombs and gunshots.
I shot my direction towards the window and stood up and take a look at the window.

My eyes shot wide open when i saw the view, it was an enemy attack from the other nation.

"Ymir! What was that?" Historia asked in a panick, worried about what those sounds were.
"Historia, enemy troops from another nation is attacking Paradis! Lets go downstairs and look for mikasa and the others!" I told her as she holds my hand and i grab her going downstairs.

"Mikasa!"

"Ymir! Grab a gun there and protect historia, armin and the others will be arriving here to get us safely! Sudden attack of an enemy nation is attacking us! This is probably because of the rumbling eren did to the whole world 3 years ago, i cant believe they still think that we could still transform into titans! But no we're only normal people now" mikasa said

"Hide into that little bunker over there, I'll watch the door carefully if someone breaks in and kill us! Also turn every single light out" mikasa added

I did what i was told and grabbed historia in the bunker, holding a rifle.
As i grabbed historia's hand, i could feel her trembling..

"Hey.. its gonna be alright, im gonna protect you no matter what" i said kissing her forehead as she nodded

"I just dont wanna lose you again ymir.." she said hugging my arm but i could tell she's also worried about Paradis and her daughter.

"For now hold still and stay low okay?"

"Okay.."

We heard mikasa entering the bunker.

Signalling us to stay quiet as possible as enemy troops entered the house, smashing every single object.

Historia was tearing up, covering her ears. She's not used to gunshots so she's totally scared
I couldn't think of another way to calm her down but to...

Kiss her..

I pressed my lips onto hers grabbing her shoulder, her lips were as soft as a pillow and as usual.. she tastes so sweet...
I expected her to push me away but instead she kissed me back, her arms wrapping around my neck.
Our little make out session lasted for like 3 minutes until we stopped to breath out some air.
Mikasa didn't dare to look at us and continued to watch over the coast if the enemy is still inside or they already went out.

"Well that calmed me down, my sweet mir~" historia whispered at my ear as her seductive voice sent chills through my spine.

"We'll continue this later" i said wrapping my arms around her tiny little body to keep her safe from any arm as i feel her doze off.

She still dozes off even at times like this huh? Pfftt-

I guess little Krista is still there
