Beep

Beep

Beep

The repetitive beating caused Dean to jolt awake as he heard the noise. He rolled over to look at the alarm clock and realized that the room looked blurrier than usual but he passed that off as the sleep in his eyes. That's until he smelt it.

Smoke

The fire alarm

He sat up quickly in the bed and went to wake up the sleeping figure next to him.

"Cas? Cas! Wake up" he whisper yelled, shaking his shoulder.

The man just grumbled as he rolled over. "No, tired, baby."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Cas, I'm serious get up. I think the house is on fire." He said, throwing the sheets of his torso and getting up.

"The house is what?" Cas grumbled as he sat up and watched his mate rummage around the room.

Dean got a bag out of the closet and shoved different items into it, slung it over his back and went to help Castiel out of the bed.

"Come on" he said taking his hands and dragging him to the bedroom door. He cracked the door open but a burst  of flames came in, causing him to duck out of the way and close the door quickly.

"Dean...?" Cas coughed out, waving away some of the smoke that came in.

Sirens could be heard in the distance but by the time they would arrive, the whole house would be gone.

"Here," He said and tore off a piece of a shirt, wet it with the water on the night stand then proceeded to wrap around the brunet's nose. "this should help. We have to get you out of here." He muttered, looking around, spotting the bedroom window.

"What about you?" Cas asked concerned.

"I'll be fine." He shrugged leading them over to a window and opening it. "We're going to have to jump out and since I'm not letting you do that and because you can't shift, we're going to have to improvise."

Cas looked at him with furrowed eyebrows before Dean transfered the bag onto his back instead.  The flashing lights of the firetrucks could now be seen from somewhere in the neighbourhood as neighbours began piling out of their houses to investigate the disturbance.

"Make sure to hold on tight."

"Wait you can't be thinking about shifting in public." Cas said looking at the alpha incredulously.

"Well we're going to have to. Don't worry I'll change back before anyone can see me."

Cas nodded and now in the place of his lover was a light brown wolf over six foot in height. The wolf lowered its torso and the omega climbed on. He held on tightly as they burst through the window onto the roof just as the door burst open and flames started to lick at every surface in the room.

The people gathered outside the house, swore they saw something running along the roof and jump down the two stories into the backyard. The trucks and fire engine finally pulled up as the firefighters got to work extinguishing the flames of fury erupting from the house.

After a few minutes, the building was finally out as the search team went in to look for any survivors. They circled the whole remainder of the house only to see the two in the backyard completely fine, well almost.

"Are you okay? I heard you whimper as we landed." Cas said frantically checking over Dean's body.

"Cas, I'm fine."
