childe had been busy with work a lot lately, leaving you feeling a form of abandonment. sure you worked too, but he'd just been so stressed and unaware of himself this past week.

you nuzzled into your pillow, the two of you facing opposite each other. he was practically knocked out well no wonder, it was the dead of night. you shifted around, calmly shutting your eyes, still in wonder of what he was thinking these days.

sleep came and went, it was a rough, long night. of course he didn't wake up once, unable to hear your uncomfortable wavering. you couldn't take it. giving up, you slid the white duvet off of you carefully, quietly tip-toeing towards the kitchen.

you grabbed a fresh blanket from the cupboard on your way, spotting the large sofa placed near the end of the kitchen. you collapsed onto it, blanket following suit. finally. you relaxed, shoulders untensing at last.

sleep came quickly.

you slowly woke up, the sounds of ruffling and slamming doors being heard nearby. "where is it??" you heard, likely from a desperate childe. you really didn't want to run into him right now, he's not morning person.

you sat up, shifting out of your comfortable position, yawning and stretching. heavy footsteps could be heard angrily stomping down the hall.

childe entered the room, anger washing over him once more. "where the fuck is my tie? it was here yesterday, where is it" his eyes were on you, staring literal daggers through you. it was intimidating, he knew you hated it.

"i don't know, i thought i saw it yesterday-" "where is it right now then?" he roared, anger bubbling over. what's his deal? you'd done nothing horribly wrong? he didn't usually act this bad towards you.

"let me speak??" you said. he sighed, cursing at you under his breath. "what the fuck? i heard that-" you replied. "did you now." childe cut in. his tone was sharp, him now staring at the floor slightly smirking and shaking his head.

his attitude was too much. even for someone who's just "not a morning person". "go to work, just leave. you're being unnecessarily rude? piss off" you shouted back, your own anger now rising in temperature.

"whatever" he left immediately, leaving you rattled. what the hell?

it was now the evening and you'd come home from work, you'd half recovered from his tantrum this morning, shoving it off. however, the thought of him coming home and even just looking at you without apologising for what happened was making you sick.

you were in the middle of making a quick hot cup of tea when your phone buzzed on the counter. you stopped swirling the teabag, reaching over and checking the message.

childe^_−☆

<hey come outside i'm in the car

>why?

<just do it, please:)

what did he mean? you shook your head. heading towards the bedroom you quickly changed out of your work clothes, heading out the door towards the sleek car running near the garage.

he waved out at you from the drivers side, a huge smile painting his face. his mood for sure changed...you thought. grabbing the handle you hopped in, still confused as to what he was thinking.

he was definitely cheery anyway, wearing a monochrome brown outfit, nike air forces for shoes. he looked good, but you always loved seeing him in his suit he wore for work. the car suddenly started, speeding down the road.

"where are we going?" you asked, he still hadn't said anything. "shopping" he smiled at you, genuine happiness seemingly radiating off him. "shopping??" you cocked your head to the side.

"yup!" he replied. what was going on...

the two of you reached the mall eventually, childe had gone back to his normal cheery yet scheming self.

upon entering the building he gently pushed you towards the boba shop nearest. "let's go in thereee" he persisted. you smiled, he remembered. the two of you lined up impatiently, discussing what to say/order.

you were surprised he'd even known, you'd been going here all week simply in need of a little recharge after he'd been distancing himself for days on end. "what?" he asked, slightly smiling.

you'd been staring at him blissfully for the past 5 minutes, hearing him rant on and on about boba flavours. "oh, nothing. sorry, what were you saying?" he laughed a little, remarking on how you were now at the line.

you hesitantly went up and placed your orders, "can i have a brown sugar milk tea and earl grey milk tea for him please?" while ordering he swung his hands round your waist, resting his head atop yours.

it felt nice to receive his affection, you missed it dearly. the two of you sat down at a nearby table once you'd received the drinks. he chattered on about random things you couldn't even name while you simply stared, happily listening to his every word.

suddenly, he stopped. you watched his tone drop, "hey, i'm really sorry for this morning. i didn't mean it" his jaw clenched, looking straight at you.

so he'd finally apologised huh. you were glad though, "don't get that angry with me again. i know you're stressed lately, but you've been distant." you replied. his expression fell, it seemed he didn't mean to distance himself.

"i'm sorry, really i am. i wasn't paying attention to you."

"you better now" you jokingly rolled your eyes, causing him to laugh at the whole thing. it was resolved, finally.

the two of you were now walking around each store, browsing. "c'mere" he quietly said, posing for the camera. you caught the hint and wrapped your arms around his waist, hugging him while posing with a kissy face. his smile got bigger, perfect pearly whites shining.

as soon as he was done he stared at the photo for a moment before you saw him post on instagram. curiously, you took your own phone and checked what it was.

he'd put the photo of you two on there captioned "gf" you flung yourself around him smothering him with kisses. it didn't take much for him to please you.

he laughed the whole time, amused at your happiness.
