This forest is unlike anything you've ever seen.

There are tall trees all around you, their branches reaching up to the sky. The air feels so much more cold, fresh and crisp, and you can hear the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. Sunlight filters through the leaves, creating patterns on the ground.

It's like stepping into a whole new world.

As you look around, you notice these peculiar little creatures fluttering through the air. They're so tiny and delicate, gracefully moving without a care in the world, completely unbothered by your existence.

"You look so familiar..." you mutter, your eyes fixed on the green creatures gliding through the tall grass and plants.

"Who?" Ray's voice interrupts from behind you.

You glance over your shoulder at him, then turn your attention back to the creatures as they flutter away deeper into the forest. "These little things, they give me a strange sense of déjà vu. It's like I've seen them somewhere before."

"Yeah, I get what you mean." he responds, his eyes wandering around the forest.

The two of you stand in silence. Suddenly, it hits you. "Also..." you mumble. "Happy birthday, Ray."

Hearing your words, Ray freezes for a moment, his eyes quickly shifting towards you. A subtle smile slowly forms on his lips. "Thanks." he replies, his voice filled with genuine appreciation.

"Alright guys, let's take a break." Emma says from behind you. "But there's a search party after us by now, and who knows what lives in these woods, so stay alert."

We decided to take a break inside a tree with a hallowed center. The tree was just as big as the other ones, even larger.

"We want to make sure our food lasts as long as possible. Don't eat too much at once." Gilda chimes in and everyone agrees.

You reach out and grab that piece of bread, bringing it to your lips and savoring each and every bite. These past few weeks haven't been easy for you, barely eating.

You look around at all of the kids, with their carefree spirits, happily indulging in their own bread, completely oblivious to the weight of the world. They chat away, their laughter filling the air, as if nothing else matters.

You look to the side. Standing tall on the large root of the tree, Emma keeps a watchful eye on the surroundings, ensuring everyone's safety.

'I should go talk to her.' With a sigh, you take the last bite of your bread. You stand up, brushing off the dirt from behind.

"Are you gonna go talk to Emma?" Ray asks as you step down from the hallowed center.

You glance up at him and nod, "Yeah."

Ray sets his bread down on his napkin and stands up. "I'm coming with you." He makes his way through the group of children, grabbing a jar of water, and the two of you walk together towards Emma.
