A/N: sorry I haven't updated much in the past few days but I'm finally back! I hope you enjoy this one!
Warning: mention of drinking, nothing too crazy though
"This is going to be so boring" Ahsoka groaned from your living room, examining her outfit with distaste.
"It's not as bad as you think, all you need is a drink or two to make an event like this more interesting" you said from the bathroom as you finished your makeup. Tonight was the Senate's annual gala, and it was customary for all friends to the Republic to attend, meaning you were to ditch your usual Jedi robes for something far more elegant. You pulled your dress off its hanger, slipping on the silky material before touching up your appearance.
(this is the type of dress I picture, but obviously imagine something that's more your style if you'd like!)

"Wow Y/N, you look incredible!" Ahsoka exclaimed as you joined her in the living room, "Someone is going to have a hard time resisting you tonight" she teased.
"As much as I appreciate it, I think Anakin will be too preoccupied talking to Senator Amidala to notice me tonight" you replied, a hint of sadness in your tone. Ahsoka knew of your growing crush on her Master, who also happened to be your best friend. You and Anakin would spend most of your time together, and you would always catch him doing or saying things that made you think he wanted something more out of your relationship, until Senator Amidala came along. She made her infatuation towards Anakin painfully obvious, and saw you as a threat, stealing Anakin's attention from you at any chance she had.
"Don't say things like that, you look hot, and if he doesn't finally make a move tonight I'll beat him up for you" Ahsoka said, her arms crossed stoically in front of her, making you chuckle, "Want some liquid courage before we head out?" she asked, grabbing a bottle of liquor from the kitchen.
"Might as well" you shrugged, and Ahsoka began pouring out the clear liquid into some small glasses, making sure to fill them to the top. "That's way more than a shot, you know" you said, eyeing the glasses in front of you.
"Exactly" Ahsoka smirked, "now drink up!" You lifted the glass to your lips before throwing your head back, letting the liquor sting your throat as you gulped it down. You set the glass down, grimacing as you watched Ahsoka drink from her glass, seemingly unfazed by the sting of the alcohol. Checking the time, you realized you were going to have to hurry if you were going to make it to the event on time, so you quickly grabbed your purse, dropping your lightsaber and comlink inside just in case of an emergency, before heading out the door with Ahsoka at your side.
Once you arrived at the Senate Building, you and Ahsoka quickly made your way over to the bar, grabbing yourselves a drink before approaching Obi-Wan and Anakin, both of them chatting amongst a group of Senators. Obi-Wan saw you as you approached them, and excused himself from the conversation to make his way over to you.
