A/N: HEY BESTIES IM BACKKK!! thanks for being patient with me, I've had part of this written for like a month but I'm just now getting around to finishing/posting it! enjoy :)
Y/N's POV:
I rushed through the halls of the Jedi Temple, trying to control my erratic breathing as I made my way back to my quarters. I weaved through the other Jedi that occupied the halls of the Temple, earning a few confused looks, yet I was too focused on making my way back to my room to pay them any mind. Once I reached the door to my quarters, I frantically unlocked the door, and I finally released the breath I had been holding in once I stepped inside. I leaned up against the wall and slid down it to sit on the floor, pressing a few buttons on my comlink before a familiar voice came through the small speaker.
"Hey Y/N what's up? We still on for tonight?" said my best friend Ahsoka. I had completely forgotten we were supposed to go out tonight, I had been too preoccupied thinking about what had just happened.
"Yeah, we are" I replied breathlessly, "Listen, something crazy just happened, come to my room in 20 minutes and I'll tell you when we get ready."
"Good crazy or bad crazy?" she asked, sounding both curious and confused.
"Uhh... I'm not sure, I'll let you be the judge of that" I answered, switching my comlink off as I stepped into the bathroom, taking off my sweaty training clothes before getting into the shower, letting the warm water wash over my sore muscles as I tried to calm my mind. I soon emerged from the bathroom in my bathrobe, my hair dripping down my shoulders. It wasn't long before Ahsoka let herself in, setting her stuff down on the living room table before coming to find me.
"Okay so what happened?" she asked, sitting down on the edge of my bed.
FLASHBACK; EARLIER THAT DAY
Anakin and I had decided to spend the afternoon training together, since there was nothing better to do. He and I have always been inseparable, we've been best friends since he first arrived at the Jedi Temple many years ago. We spent every free moment together, and often went on missions with one another since we were able to work so well as a team. I loved my relationship with Anakin, but lately I've found myself developing romantic feelings for him, something I had only ever talked to Ahsoka about. The older and more mature we've gotten, it has been increasingly harder for me to ignore my desire for our relationship to become something more that just close friends.
We had been practicing our saber techniques in one of the training rooms, and at one point Anakin had kicked my legs out from under me, making me fall to the floor where he then pinned me down underneath him. Normally, I would have been annoyed that he bested me, but I was too busy focusing on the gorgeous man on top of me. His dark blonde hair had become slightly damp with sweat, small ringlets clinging to his forehead as he laid on top of me.
The sound of his heavy breathing was like music to my ears, and as I looked up at him, I was almost startled to see his bright blue eyes staring back into mine. He looked at me with an expression of desire, his eyes began slowly studying my features, making me swallow nervously. My eyes quickly glanced down at his lips before returning to his eyes, wanting nothing more in this moment to close the short distance between his lips and mine. It seemed as though Anakin had the same thought, but just as soon as I noticed him begin to lower his head to mine, a clatter came from the hallway outside, breaking both Anakin and I from the trance we had been in.
He quickly got off of me, helping me to stand to my feet without a word. His back was now turned to me, making me feel as though he deeply regretted almost kissing me. Feeling humiliated, I quickly grabbed my things and headed out of the room, not giving Anakin a chance to say anything to me before I rushed back to my quarters.
