“Hey baby. How are you?” Jake drawls out.

I am still in the shop waiting for all the dresses to be fitted. I am done with mine so I am just enjoying myself watching over Abby struggling real hard to keep her composure while being prodded by pins, needles and laces. She is thisclose to lose her shit and go all berserk on the clerks. Meanwhile I'm just here trying not to laugh out loud and fall off the couch I am currently sitting on. The struggle is real. No kidding.

Jake's name flashing on my phone screen got me to sober up a little bit and just as I pick his call up, Abby loses her balance on the pedestal and falls right onto her butt with a thud. Her hair flowing all over the place like flames of hot, furious fire. Her face sporting a frustrated yet lost look. That just did it. I lose it completely, sending me into a fit of  laughter, the kind that leaves you gasping for air. I forget Jake's call and keep laughing at Abby, who is staring daggers at me right now.

“Hello... Jake... I'll call...you...back... Hahahaha” I say in between laughs.

“What's so funny?” he replies, his voice holding a bit of amusement as well, at my current psycho laugh, I'm guessing.

“I'll call you back and tell you. Right now I have to pick up a weird red creature off her derriere from the floor.” I say, still chuckling at the said red-head who is still sprawled on the floor all tangled up in the fabric.

“Roxy, you nitwit, get off the phone and come here and help me before I strangle you to death.” Abby screeches which sends me to another fit of laughter, causing her to glare at me even more threateningly.

“Okay. Okay. Geez. I'm coming. Talk to you later, Jakie-boy.” and I cut the call before he could reply to me.

“Get up, you clumsy ass.” I lend my hand to her to pull her up, still trying to recover from the aftershocks of my laughing fit. Thank God for giving me such cartoons as best friends. My life would've been dull without them.

“Thanks a lot, bitch-ass.” Abby grumbled, and I just chuckle at her.
“Whose Jakie-boy?” she asks, wiggling her brows at me, her previous anger vanishing completely.

“Roxy's mystery guy.” Bea pipes in, coming from behind me.

“Ooohh la la.. is he hot?”

“Very. I have been told so.” Bea replies, winking at me. I roll my eyes at her, fighting the blush, that's trying to make it's way over to my face.

“Did you guys go out on a date yet? When can we meet him? Have you guys kissed?” Abby asks teasingly, clearly taking revenge for my laughing at her expense.

“Yes, he is very very hot. We went on a date. You can meet him at the wedding.” I reply, ignoring the last question, because even thinking about the kiss makes my body go into a frenzy of pure, untamable need.

“Oooh noice(nice). But you didn't answer the last question.” Abby points out with a mischievous grin on her face. Payback's a bitch her eyes clearly shinning with this statement. Even Bea leans in, intrigued. I haven't told her and she didn't pry but with Abby asking all the questions outright, there's no point hiding. And besides my reaction kind of gave it all away.

A warm blush spreads across my cheeks causing their eyes to go as wide as saucers, and once they overcome their shock, they squeal loudly like teenage girls, at the realisation their friend has been kissed. And that too very thoroughly. But they don't need to know that.

“He kissed you. Oh my god. How was it? Give us the details girl.” Abby squeals, while Bea was shaking her head at her, with a smile on her lips.
