Mad (Levi x Reader)

(A/N: POV: You are Levi's first lieutenant, and it's not an established relationship but you both like each other and know it)

Yesterday, Hange had asked Captain Levi if they could borrow me to assist them in their new experiment, since it was located in an area I specialised in, however Captain Levi rejected their appeal, despite knowing how much I wanted to help.

I had been telling him all week about how excited I was about the experiment! Why would he do this to me?

Being Levi's first lieutenant was great, but all I wanted was to experience something I loved for once, but that was quickly ripped away by the Captain.

Now here I was, watching as Hange walk back towards their lab, as they gave me a pout "sorry Y/N, captain's orders" before they wave goodbye and turned back towards the direction of their lab.

I simply sighed, before walking back towards Captain's office.

"Lieutenant" Levi said in his monotone voice, not looking up from his papers, "take these records down to Mike" he added, giving me a folder.

"Mhm" I responded, not being in the mood to talk to him, snatching the folder out of his hands.

He looked up at me with confusion, but before he could speak, I turned on my heel, and headed for the door. I huffed as I left his office, putting in a bit of aggression into closing the door.

"Stupid old man" I muttered to myself as I headed to my destination. I was so mad at him.

I successfully managed to avoid Levi for half the day, only replying with one word answers if he did ask anything. He also seemed quiet today but I couldn't tell whether he was frowning because of that or because he was also having a bad day.

It was probably a bad day, because I doubt he cares how I feel.

But it all came to a halt at lunch.

Me and Levi would usually dine together in his office. For some reason this man was so adamant to spend lunch with just me and him alone.

However that was not going to happen today. No way was I going to act lovey dovey with him after he ruined my chance to experience the new experiment!

But this didn't mean I was any less scared of the Captain's wrath. So I tried to slip past his office quietly without him taking notice.

I steadily but slowly attempted to tip toe past the office, looking back to make sure he was still immersed in his paperwork.

Pretty dumb move actually.

Which I realised when we ended up making eye contact.

I quickly whipped my head forward again, and speed walked towards the mess hall.

"Y/N"

Uh oh. Not the first name

"Come here" his stern voice added.

I couldn't help but pull a frown as I entered his office. First he prevents me from doing something I was looking forward to, then he has the audacity to boss me around!

"What" I said as I entered his office, my eyes flickering around the room to avoid his burning gaze.

"Do we have a problem?" He said with confusion etched across his handsome features.

"I don't know Captain, do you have a problem with me?" I retorted, crossing my arms, the adrenaline and anger making me become a bit too brave. But instead of looking angry, he seemed taken aback.

"No I don't 😐" He replied, very plainly, almost as if he didn't know what he did wrong, almost as if he didn't ruin my one chance to experience something new!

"Ugfhhh!!" I groaned in frustration.

"What?" he pressed.

"How can you act so oblivious?!" I asked him, covering my face with my hands.

"What?" He urged for me to explain.

But I didn't have the energy to explain how he ruined my day, so to prevent my mood from becoming any more sour, I sighed, giving up on the matter and trailed back to my table.

"Oi Oi Oi hold on, hold on" he said now standing up from his seat. "Just tell me"

I headed to the other table, collecting all of my paperwork's so I could leave his office. Deciding to ignore him.

"Oi" I heard from behind me. I could feel his presence now behind me.

Then I felt a slender, pale finger poke my face. "Oi"

I refused to give in and simply huffed before continuing to organise the papers. We finally reach a moment of silence.

"......"

"Are you mad at me?" he asked.

He sighed when he received no reply, "is it over the stupid Hange experiment?" he asked in a more agitated tone now.

"So you did know what's wrong?!" I asked in outrage. So he wasn't oblivious to what he did? Then why was he so unbothered? ... or does he just not care about my feelings?

He tsked, breaking me out of my thoughts. "That's what had you so mad at me?" He said.

"Yes!" I exclaimed, sitting down in the chair out of exhaustion.

He sighed before taking a seat next to me, placing his arm around on the top of my chair, I turned my head away from him, not wanting to talk to him.

But he grabbed me by my jaw and turned my face towards him. "Don't be such a brat, I was just keeping you away from Hange's crazy antics"

"And anyways, you're MY lieutenant, not theirs" he emphasised, making it hard for me to stay mad, especially when his words were making my cheeks slowly burn in embarrassment.

"You knew how excited I was" I muttered, finally looking him in the eye.

And as if my eyes were tricking me, I swore I saw Levi's face soften for a second, before he spoke "fine, it's my fault okay?" He sighed. I nodded.

He got up from his seat, "come on" he said, "what?" I asked.

"That idiot Eren said there was a festival nearby the HQ, selling some sweets, lets go get you some"

I sat in my chair in shock, was the Captain really trying to make it up to me right now?

"Come on. You'll stop being mad at me right?" He asked, and I didn't miss the desperation in his voice.

I smiled as I walked up to the grumpy man and placed a kiss on his cheek "yes, I'll stop being mad" I laughed.

He shook his head in an attempt to hide his burning cheeks "idiot" he muttered as he placed a kiss in the corner of the lips.
