"You think you could win?!?!" A voice boomed.

I looked all around the room, no one was in here but me and Ross.

"You think this game is over?!?!"

"The intercom." Ross said.

"It seems like I'm still playing, and I have something of yours."

All the screens in the room flashed to life.

It showed a picture of a red head boy sitting in a chair, his face brused and full of blood.

"Ratliff?" I asked.

"While you two were doing your thing, I got one of your own."

Then a woman walked behind Ratliff.

Mrs. Silver.

"Still think you won?"

Her face showed an evil grin.

"Oh, and your fathers here, again."

"My- my father?" I looked at Ross.

His eyes were wide, he must have been as shocked as I was.

"Oh yes, he's been here quite a while. When I left you in that room, he suddenly just showed up. He walked in as I walked out." She responded.

"Wheres Ratliff?" Ross questioned.

"If I told you it would be to easy, hm?" She walked around the chair Ratliff sat in.  "Playing cat and mouse would be much more fun."

"Where. Is. He?!?!" Ross was starting to get mad.

"Oh, Alexis. I think you should make out with him to make him calm down."

Ross slammed his fists down on the table, making me jump.

"WHERE IS HE!!!!!"

Mrs. Silver's grin grew more when she saw Ross' reaction.

"He's in the building. But you know, this building is more than a hundred-thousand square feet. It would take you hours to search every room, not to mention, the other floors. And the high school above you."

"It would take forever to search this whole place." I whispered to Ross, standing right behind him.

He slowly turned his head toward me, his eyes glowing bright orange.

"Ross?" I asked.

He stood up and looked at me, then he looked to the TV screens.

"I will find him, and you, even if it takes all night."

"Oh sweety." Mrs. Silver cooed. "You dont have all night."

"What do you mean?"

"If you dont come with Alexis, so I can kill her, I kill Ratliff instead."

---

"Ross!" I shouted, running after him in the hall way. "Ross!"

I grabbed him by his arm and stopped him.

"Ross, we need to think this through."

"Think this though?" Ross shouted, making me jump back. "If it was you in there, I wouldnt give it a seconds hesatation."

"But its not me, its Ratliff, he can shape shift, turn into any object on his mind. We need to give this some thought-"

"You dont understand!" Ross shoved me against the wall. "He has been my best friend since I was a boy! When Tom gave up on me, he was the only one! Yes I had you, but its not the same! You need to understand this!"

"Get off of me!" I shoved him back.

Both of us were breathing heavy, him from yelling, and me from trying to get him off of me.

"Alexis, I-I'm sorry." Ross looked at me with wide eyes.

"Yeah, sure." I glared at him.

"Alexis, I dont know what came over me."

"Its fine, your under a lot of stress." I said running my hand through my hair.

"No, its not." Ross said, walking away from me. "That wasnt sepost to happen."

He looked at me.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he kept mumbling to himself, over and over again that he was sorry.

"Ross, its fine."

He looked at me again.

His eyes rimmed with tears.

He covered his mouth with his hand, then ran it through his hair and took in a deep breath.

"Ross..."

It pained me to see him like this.

He looked like a lost child.

His eyes were clouded.

I felt like someone was breaking off a piece of my heart, and throwing it across the room.

"I'm sorry." he said again.

"Come here." I walked over to him.

He broke down, tears were flooding out of his eyes.

When I held him, his chest shook with sobs.

This point made me realize, how much Ross is broken.

He's had to face so much in his life, to much for anyone to handle.

I felt sorry for him.

I always thought that he was always strong, he never needed any one to help him with anything.

Somehow I knew that was wrong, yet I chose to believe it anyway.

Ross was like any other super human, he needed someone.

And when I wasnt here, Ratliff was.

They went through thick and thin together.

When we broke up, he only had Ratliff to turn to.

The way I left him, and all the times I needed him, and now he needs Ratliff.

"I'm sorry." he cried.

"Shhh, its okay." I rubbed the back of his head.

At this moment, I knew Ross was broken.

A boy who lost everything, at such a young age.

Then I knew that I would stop at nothing to help Ross.

Even if it means turning my self in, just to meeting death.
