Chapter nine: Missed her laugh.

Perviously on 'I am the Fire Angels other Half':

"Before you came, Ross came over to my house, and he was drunk. When I tryed to help him, he got mad. Then he started throwing things. He was mad. Like, mad MAD. And he started yelling your name. So I got you." Ratliff said sitting in one of the plastic chairs.

I looked over to Ross who was still playing with the grass.

I sighed again.

Then I started to walk over to Ross.

I sat down by him and watched him.

He looked up at me and smiled.

"I missed you." he giggeled.

"I missed you to." I said.

I knew he would forget about all of this.

So, might as well tell him.

"Why did you leave me?" he asked looking at the grass.

I breathed in air, trying to fight back the tears.

"Because, I need to keep you safe."

He looked up at me.

"I dont need you to save me." he said. "I need to save you."

I smiled and let the tears flow.

Ross saw this, and came closer to me.

He took his thumb and wiped away the tear.

"Why are you crying?" he looked in my eyes.

I just held onto his hand that was on my face.

"I dont know what to do." I said.

He smiled.

Then he spoke four words.

"Then stay with me."

I sat out on the grass with Ross playing with my hair.

Ratliff and Lucas where cleaning up the house.

And I was on babysitting duty.

The sun started to rise, so it was past 6AM.

Ratliff soon walked out.

"Your good to come in." He said breathing heavily.

I nodded and stood up.

Then I helped Ross up.

Since he was still drunk off his butt, I had to help him.

I got him inside and sat him down on the couch.

"Its so clean!" Ross spoke to the couch.

I stood and watched him.

Ratliff was in the kitchen, making some food.

And he soon walked out with grilled cheese and some gatterade.

"Eat." he set down the tray.

"FOOD!" Ross yelled and started to shove a sandwich in his mouth.

"You want any?" Ratliff asked me and Lucas.

"Sure." Lucas said walking over.

Ratliff looked at me.

"No thanks." I said shaking my head.

"You need to eat." Ratliff pushed on.

I still shook my head and wrapped my cardigin around my cold body tighter.
