Can we talk?

A message from Ross.

He would text me every week.

Asking if I was okay.

I would resond sometimes, but I would mostly keep quiet.

About what? I texted back.

About us.

He would always do this.

He would text and become serious.

I was about to reply, when his face showed up on my screen.

Saying I was getting a call from him.

I sighed and answered the phone, putting it to my ear and saying "Hello?"

"Can we meet up?" He asked. HIs voice coming out raspy.

I sighed and rubbed my forehead, trying to help my headache.

"I dont know Ross." I said. "I dont think its a good idea to-"

"Well then hear me out." he cut me off.

"Okay." I said.

I heard him sigh.

"I miss you." He said.

My heart felt like something stabbed it.

"I miss you, a lot. And I cant stop thinking about you." he said.

The tone in his voice sounding like he was on the verdge of tears.

"I cant do this anymore." he breathed.

I sighed.

"Can we please meet up?" he asked again.

Like a little kid in a candy store, asking for the big candy bar.

"We can meet at this small cafe, its not far from here. We could meet tommorow at noon?" he said.

I thought about it for a second.

Then I sighed.

"Alright."

I grabbed the handle to the small coffee shop.

A gush of wind blew my hair back, and I smelled coffee.

After Ross called me last night, he basicly poured his soul out to me.

And with every word he said, my heart broke more. If that was even possible.

Then, after two hours of talking, he told me to meet up here.

The small Luckys Cafe.

It wasnt big, but wasnt small either.

The walls were made of glass, so you could see through the building.

To the right was the counters that you ordered your coffee.

Then to the right was all the tables and chairs that were set up for you to sit at.

I sighed and looked for a blonde hair boy.

He sat in the very back left corner.

Closest to the window.

The first thing I saw, was the dark bags under his eyes.

Making him look like he hasnt sleeped in months.
