'Understand'

So, I went out with Raphael but then my mind flies to what happened at my office earlier. Vaughn is still not my boyfriend. Hindi ko pa siya sinasagot.

Hindi mo pa sinasagot pero nagpahalik ka na at hinalikan mo naman? I can clearly hear myself sarcastically say that to me.

That's also the reason of me and Vaughn's argument after the kiss we shared. He wanted us to have dinner with his family and I immediately rejected his invitation because of Raphael.

"Why would you still go out with Raphael?" he asked a bit confused and also starting to be pissed.

"Y-you're not my boyfriend. I don't see anything wrong with it."

His eyes widened a bit and then look at me with disbelief in his eyes. "What? So are you telling me that you let all of your suitor kiss you-"

"No! that's not what I meant!" I cut him off.

Vaughn glared at me seriously pissed with my reasons. His jaw would clench from time to time and he really looks as if he's ready to punch someone. Far from the soft Vaughn who just kissed me. I would admit that I am at fault okay?

"Then tell me... why would you let me kiss you? Why would you kiss me back if you don't feel the same way?" he sounded miserable but he looks so mad outside.

"I don't know. Maybe I just got carried away." I looked away.

"Carried away? Fuck! You're driving me nuts Lavinya." ihinilamos niya ang isang palad sa mukha at ginulo ang buhok nang padarag siyang umupo sa sofa.

He remained silent until he spoke again.

"Where will you go tonight?" He asked me a bit calm now.

"I don't know. Si Raphael na daw ang bahala." Sagot ko habang hindi parin makatingin sa kaniya.

"Don't call his name like that." Maldito niyang sabi bago siya tumayo at pinihit ang pintuan ng opisina ko.

Akala ko aalis na siya ngunit liningon niya ako muli gamit ang matatalim niyang tingin. "Bring your car, huwag kang magpapasundo sa kaniya." He demanded and clenched his jaw before he finally left me alone in my office.

Tonight will be my first and last date with Raphael. Sasabihin ko na sa kaniya na nais ko lang na maging magkaibigan kaming dalawa. It would be hard, I know. He is a friend of mine and I will of course feel guilty. But then if I continue giving him false hopes it will be more complicated.

"Are you okay Lavinya?"

I smiled and nodded at Raphaels question. "Yeah, I am okay."

"Are you sure? I mean you seem off, are you not feeling well? Pwede naman nating ipagpaliban muna ito." Raphael looked at me with worried eyes.

Umiling ako sa sinabi niya. Hindi ko ito pwedeng ipagpaliban. "I'm okay Raphael. Pasok na tayo sa loob?" aya ko sa kaniya at nauna na akong bumaba sa sasakyan niya.

He chose Lorenz and Ericka's restaurant. Hindi na nakapagtataka dahil kaibigan nga naman nila si Lorenz at talagang masarap ang pagkain. Kung hindi lang talaga ako nalulungkot sa gagawin ko ay maeenjoy ko ang muli kong pagbisita dito.

Agad kaming binati ng mga staff ng pumasok kami. Halos lahat ng mag tao doon ay nakatingin sa amin at hindi na iyon kataka-taka. I am with De Venecia's mayor. Nakita kong nagkatinginan ang mag-asawang nasa counter bago sila lumapit sa aming dalawa ni Raphael. Ericka was all smiles when she welcomed us. Napansin ko rin na lumalaki na nga ang tiyan niya.
