Coughing, Kwared felt the mask normalize his breathing as the sun rose. He would be able to go back to his dorm. He would be able to go back home.
He was tired of white rooms.. his hospital room, the facility.. the memories stuck like tar as he gripped his hair sitting up. He opened his wings for the first time fully, the feathers have already been grown back again in full. His set was complete.. but did he really want it? It ached slightly, the span stretching to his side's widely, the black color with slight red making him frown.
He thought about the recent events, he'd gotten off easy this time. He managed to avoid the shock treatments for a little bit only recalling it near the end. He ran a hand up to his neck and over his arms feeling the various welts and scars as he grabbed his collar from the side table.
He rang the bell requesting a nurse as he stood up, his wings folding carefully behind him.
The woman walked in as he smiled slightly, requesting the papers as she nodded. He would be allowed to leave now. The woman was permitted to give the boy bandaging before he left so he insisted he would do it when he arrived home.
Exiting the hospital room, he was given medication to stop pain and eradicate all the toxins in his body without the further aid of the hospital. He was aware they noted the drugs but they must have assumed it was from the tests, he was glad.
After signing everything a familiar car pulled up, Ace waving at him with a sad look.
"Sorry for taking so long.. are you alright?" Ace asked as Kwared shrugged stiffly.
"I just wanna go to my dorm.." he said and Ace nodded.
"Alright,"
_______________
Sticking the key into his dorm Kwared entered quietly, freezing at the clean living area. He glanced to the bathroom seeing the blood having been cleaned up.
He stepped into the bathroom looking in the darkened expression. He unrolled the bandages taking a breath to wrap his arms, neck, wrists and torso allowing his wings to fold up on his back. The bandages were secured as he put the pin through each end only talking a moment to glance at the long lines on his wrists.
He still pondered the clean dorm, had someone he knew come in? Ace or Kertia? Ace hadn't said anything though..
He grew paranoid but made an attempt and surpressed it heading into his bedroom, it was almost 5 am and it was still relatively dark outside despite the sunrise. He pondered for a moment before sighing and adjusting the bandages.
Shutting the door behind him he stopped, glancing at the body on the floor, a wave of comfort waved over him as he let out a sigh of relief. He didn't bother looking around or take note to his missing items as he looked at Phandrin quietly sleeping on the ground.
Ha glanced at the feathers the boy held to his chest as he felt guilt eat him away. Phandrins wings spread around his body on the floor as Kwared kneeled infront of him. He didn't bother waking him up only leaning against the boy with a quiet sigh.
He closed his eyes allowing his body to relax.
Feeling Phandrin relax as well made the guilt shrink smally as he allowed sleep to take over again.Phandrins eyes shifted slightly at the new presence as he opened his wings carefully. He wrapped his arms around him pulling Kwared into his grasp using his wings for warmth from the cooled room. Kwared was asleep now as he leaned back into Phandrin, arms laying on Phandrins that were wrapped around him. Thee closer contact was surely going to come to surprise to Kwared when he woke up, but Phandrin wanted to sleep longer.
He noted the bandages covering alot of his visible skin as well as the darkened expression but at least he had some color back in his face.
He knows he hasn't spoken to the boy yet but he wanted to take this moment as he closed his eyes again.
Even if he felt selfish.
