Chapter 55: "Play Me A Symphony"

The bussride turned out to be a few hours long, luckily Kwared had fallen asleep and was leaning into Phandrins chest, and Phandrins phone had a portable charger.

Phandrin sighed glancing at how much longer the rude would be, talking to Saiyan occasionally who was also falling asleep.

Kwared would wake up every few seconds or minutes whether it be from noise or the bus moving just a bit too roughly.

Querda would turn around every so often to talk or offer either of them a snack, and he would turn to Saiyan every so often. Other than this, the ride was uneventful, and everyone just seemed tired of the ride at this point.

Phandrins nails ran through Kwareds hair as he tapped Querda, the boy turning quickly, a Dorito hanging from his mouth.

"Do you know how the cabins are set up?" He asked, Querda pausing to inhale the chip before speaking.

"I think it's 2 people a room for the evening, but the cabin is for everyone, and you can't stay in your room. There's also times you need to be inside or outside y'know, and were allowed to hunt but we can't be excessive," he rambled as Phandrin nodded muttering an apology when Kwared woke up again.

Phandrin paused as Kwared fell asleep again, Querda raising a brow.

"He's so dormant, Jesus," Querda snickered quietly as Phandrin nodded.

"He sleeps too, just doesn't like being vulnerable around... Other people.. I guess," Phandrin said quietly, tightening his grip.

After another few hours the bus eventually came to a stop for good, Phandrin seeing many large cabins and different buildings sarrounded by trees.

He felt bad waking Kwared up again, since he kept falling in and out, but they were being led off soon.

"Kwaredd..." He muttered, rubbing his back and pushing him up, Kwared was awake but he did not want to move.

"Leave me on the bus-" he said quickly as Phandrin snickered, Querda leaning over the seat.

"I have more lamb, you can have some when we get off," he smiled as Kwared stood, Phandrin jumping when he did so.

"Aight, let's go then," he said quickly as they walked off of the bus. They each grabbed their bags as Querda handed Kwared another tiny package.

Querda glanced at Phandrin who pointed at Kwareds tail subtly, Querda making a face of realization when it was wagging.

"Alright everyone, each of you go to your cabin shared and decide the rooms, group up first and discuss it. I don't need tussle on the first day," the instructor yelled out as kwared, Phandrin, and Q'uerda stayed where they were.

Ace and holly walked up soon after, waving.

"Hii guys, I am so excited oh my gosh-" Holly said quickly tapping Phandrin who smiled.

"I forget you're the one who loves these types of things," he laughed as Holly nodded, Ace smiling.

"I never got to do this stuff, so it's new for me," she shrugged as Holly turned to her.

"No worries! I can tell you everything and we can try everything there is to do, I'm sure you'll like it!" Holly jumped almost, the giddiness leaking off of him at this point.

Phandrin turned back surprised when Kwared was gone, glancing around confused.

Querda looked at him before pointing in another direction.

"He went to get the other ones," Querda nodded as Phandrin made an oh sound, nodding as well.

Icarius bound up after a second tapping Phandrin very fast, a grin on his face.

"I get to be with the coOL group, heck yeah, except Azvameth," his ears wilted dramatically, but he was still grinning.

"Yes, we are the best group," Querda agreed as Phandrin nodded.

Kwared came back with a tall-ish boy with brown hair that covered his eyes, and the peacock Phandrin saw at the front of the bus. Kwared didn't look angry either, just.. inconvenienced.

"This is Zupin, and this is Silovath," Kwared pointed to each of them.

Zupins tail was dragging on the ground, but he smiled widely, the feathers rising and opening when he saw Phandrin.

"Oh my gosh you're the one who helped open the facility!" The peacock jumped shaking his hand rapidly, the boys feathers on his arms brushing him.

He blew the feather hanging over his head out of his face as Phandrin nodded.

"Yeah, me and Kertia, who I haven't seen yet actually," Phandrin paused turning to Silovath.

"Yeah, I'm Phandrin, and this is Holly, Ace, Icarius, Querda, and Kwared," he smiled as Silovath nodded pushing his hair from his eyes.

He smiled waving at them as Kwared moved to stand with Phandrin again, looking around for Kertia.

"Did you get brought here from another School?" Phandrin asked, Silovath nodding

"I was expelled, so they brought me here, closest one they had," he shrugged as Phandrin paused.

"Expelled?"

"Yeah, I set the library on fire, but it was an accident. They didn't believe me," he sighed as Kwared raised a brow.

"How do you accidently set an entire library on fire," he asked mocking, Phandrin glancing at him.

"I don't know man cut me some slack, where's the 8th one," Silovath mumbled as Kertia did eventually walk up.

Kwared waved his tail as they now went to their cabin, choosing the different rooms.

"I'll go with Icarius, Holly and Ace can be together, Zupin and Silovath can be together, and Phandrin and Kwared can be together, and then Querda can jump in with whoever," Kertia said pointing to each room as they all nodded, Silovath staying with Zupin anyways.

"Do we stay till we are told to leave or can we explore?" Querda asked as Kertia paused.

"I was told we can explore, we have to be back for 12 though," he said as Querda made a whooping sound.

He ran over to Kwared who's eyes widened, stepping back almost knocking Phandrin over who grabbed his waist.

"Do you wanna come hunt with me? You're probably really good at it," Querda rushed as Kwared watched his expression for trickery. This wouldn't be this first time people have tried to jump him, get him down or just dust him, and he knew it wouldn't be the last, but Querda seemed ok.

Icarius ran over begging that he could join as Phandrin stepped back, turning to Ace and Holly.

Kwared locked eyes with Phandrin, Phandrin almost laughing at the almost terrified look on Kwareds face.

"If you really fuckin want me to go, I'm hungry anyways.." Kwared huffed as Querda and Icarius jumped happily.

Kertia followed alone as well, Zupin, Silovath, Ace, Holly, and Phandrin staying in the cabin.

Kwared waved to Phandrin as the four of them walked out.

"Alright, deal is, we get 2 hunts a day so that we don't kill off the population," Kertia nodded as the others agreed.

"2 each," he finished as Kwared smirked.
