Phandrin now managed to take off as he felt his wings catch the air. He watched Vadiran speed past him almost crashing into a nearby tree as Sillis flew over quickly stopping him.

He felt the wind go against him as he persisted getting used to the feeling.

A smile broke over his face as he was now in the air. He allowed his wings to flap as he turned heading back towards the group.

He loved the feeling already as he felt the giddiness rise in his chest. Soaring by his friends they all laughed for him woo'ing in the distance as he turned again getting ready to land.

He skidded to a stop tripping slightly almost knocking Azvameth into the cement as he stumbled over.

"you finally got it!" icarius laughed smiling and giving the boy a high five. Q'erda nodded smiling at the boy as Sillis brought Vadiran back over.

Posein learned quickly as they now stood together again, Sillis claimed he wanted to leave now as Quarts waved to the others.

"I'll talk to you all later! You guys are great!" He laughed waving as Phandrin waved back smiling.

He paused watching Quarts grab Sillis's hand as he grabbed his phone checking the time.

"I'm gonna go guys, Ive gotta go check on someone," Phandrin waved to the others as he started on a jog.

"Alright byeee, I text you later," Icarius yelled as Azvameth and the others waved him off.

He smiled widely as he caught air again only stumbling a little.

He flew over the fence turning up flying above the schools building. His laughs echoed through the air as the cool wind brushed over his face.

Kwared glanced out his window seeing the boy smiling as he flew upwards. A pang running through his chest seeing the boy so happy.

He opened his window stepping out onto the balcony quietly shutting the small door behind him as he watched the boy fly around.

The laughter in the air was almost contagious as he felt a small smile come to his lips.

He felt a stab of guilt go through him as the boy doubled in his vision.

Setting the small baggie down, he pondered for a moment before hiding it away again.

He watched as Phandrin flew in his general direction before spotting him. His wings battered as he slowed staying in the air.

They made eye contact before Phandrin glanced to the side and flapped his wings towards the boy.

Kwareds eyes widened as he stepped out of the way, Phandrin grabbing the railing as he stood on it carefully.
Kwared gaped at the boys bravery as he was inches from his face now, a small smile going over Phandrins face before it seemed to turn to worry.

Phandrin stayed quiet examining the boys expression taking note to his eyes before reaching out to grab his arm tugging him.

"Cmon- don't think about what we said this morning, just come with me," Phandrin smiled as Kwared looked at him baffled.

"I can't fly you idiot-" Kwared hissed as Phandrin tugged his hand.

"I'll help you, trust me okay?" Phandrin smiled as Kwared huffed.

He glared at Phandrin as the boy looked at him pleadingly.

"Pleaseee?" Phandin asked as Kwared sighed stepping onto the railing.
Phandrin smiled stepping back as he flapped his wings.

"Open your wings," Phandrin said as Kwared grabbed the boys shoulders.

"For fucks sakes hang on," he gritted his teeth looking at the drop below them.

He opened his wings to their full span as Phandrin gaped at them for a moment. Kwared stared at the boys expression, Phandrins eyes looked bright as his surprise turned to a smile when examined the wings. Phandrin soon snapped out of it nodding to Kwared.

"Alright, I'm tipping back, just flap them in sync and if it comes to worse I will carry you alright?" Phandrin smiled as Kwared nodded continuing to look down at the ground.

Phandrin watched him for a second before tilting his head up with one hand.

"Don't look down, it will only make you more scared fox boy," Phandrin laughed as Kwared scoffed.

He was about to retaliate when Kwared felt them fall forward.

He gasped loudly before flapping his wings immedietly. He was out of sync for a moment before managing to flap them both at the same time slowing the falling. Phandrin flapped his wings veering away from the boy flying just below him as Kwared watched the earth get closer.

"Tilt up, flap them against the wind," Phandrin called to him as Kwared did as he said immedietly. He felt Phandrins hand grab his own as his body moved upwards.

"There you go! You're doing it Kwared!" Phandrin laughed loudly as Kwared smiled gripping the boys hand.

His chest clenched with happiness as they flew upwards. Phandrin flew close to him smiling brightly at his wondered expression.

"There's nobody here either, you don't have to pretend to hate me," Phandrin said quietly under his breath not expected Kwared to hear.

Kwared turned his head to the boy giving him a soft smile.

"This won't.. change anything," Kwared called out as Phandrin nodded sadly.

"I know.. let's just focus on this alright?" Phandrin called smiling again as Kwared nodded.

Their wings battered as they soared down slightly over city lights. Quiet laughter slicing the air as they skimmed. Phandrin flew loops around Kwared who was laughing now as the circled back towards the school.

Phandrin sped up as Kwared followed determined to catch the boy, their smiles brightening echothers expression as they both felt the familiar pang they each got.

Kwareds smile made Phandrin realise how little the boy actually seemed happy, it was rare and he cherished each time he saw it.

Kwared constantly saw Phandrin smile but the one he saw now was brighter, he seemed so happy it made his teeth hurt.

As they flew to the school they skimmed by the dormitory doors landing quickly. Phandrin having experienced it already only stumbled a little as he braced Kwareds landing.

Kwared brushed off his clothes before flipping his hair back into its place.

"Holy  shit," the boy laughed quietly as Phandrin smiled at him.

"It's amazing right?! I just learned how a bit ago," Phandrin laughed rubbing his neck as Kwared nodded panting slightly.

"As much fun as that was, I've gotta go, thanks for that but.. you know the drill," Phandrin heard the shift in Kwareds voice as the atmosphere changed. Phandrin lowered his hand nodding slowly with a defeated look on his face.

Kwared glanced back, a wave of guilt waving over him as he blocked it out.

"I'll talk to you later," he said knowing he'd regret it as Phandrin looked backup at him with a wide smile.

"Alright! See ya!" Phandrin grinned waving as Kwared waved back.
