Kwared watched Phandrin talk to the principal, a grin on the principles face making Kwared feel more at ease.

The principal glanced at Kwared warily before motioning him over.

Kwared got up slowly, a weight on his shoulders as Phandrin glanced at him.

"Hi Kwared, it looks like you've healed well!" The principal smiled as Kwared nodded.

"The injuries weren't bad."

The principal stayed quiet, sharing a glance with Phandrin.

"I'm glad you decided to come today, I'll put you in a cabin with Phandrin, sure of it, a treat I guess you could say.. and an apology," The principal said bowing his head slightly before looking back up at Kwared.

"Youll be on bus 7, with Phandrin, and your group will be announced when everyone is loaded up," the principal nodded as Kwared stayed quiet still, Phandrin thanking the man and turning to the bus.

He guided Kwared along, Kwared muttering a quiet thank-you as they walked off.

"He seems cheery," Phandrin heard Kwared say as he nodded.

"He was actually really happy to hear you were coming, believe it or not.. he admires your fighting, and he's fond of your grades, despite your suspensions and.. y'know," Phandrin waved a hand as Kwared shifted, nodding.

"He sort of empathized with you.. after what he found out," Phandrin finished.

"Whatever, let's go," Kwared huffed as Phandrin nodded.

People parted allowing them past, one of the perks of being a disease in the school.

He walked onto the bus with Phandrin in tow, going to the very back and shooing away the people there.

He sat down as Phandrin glanced at them apologetically, sitting beside Kwared.

He watched as other quadrants boarded the bus, hearing a quiet growl from beside him as Simeon walked on.

Kwareds ears perked up the slightest bit when Icarius got on as well, Phandrin smiling and waving.

Kwared turned, watching out the window at the other people as they waited for the instructor, Phandrin opening his phone

"Since we're sharing a cabin, the rest of the people shouldn't be too much of a strain right?" Phandrin asked quietly, Kwared turning slightly to face him.

"I guess not, unless I have to talk to them or engage with them, which I probably do," he muttered as Phandrin shrugged.

"Not everyone is bad, you seem to like Icarius a bit," he pointed out as Kwared shifted.

"He could just be an exception," he heard as Kwared leaned on his shoulder slightly.

Phandrin watched the instructor get on, looking up as he tapped Kwared who looked up from his phone

"Hello everyone, I'm your instructor as you can tell, I'm here to tell you your groups," the person paused, they seemed to be an antelope and it made Phandrin snicker slightly.

"Alright, so in the first group..."
Kwared zoned out, he didn't care about the other groups, waiting until he heard one of their names get called.

"And group 9, Phandrin, Icarius, Ace, Holly, Silovath, Kwared, Kertia, Querda, and Zupin," the instructor finished as Kwareds ears fell back.

"For fucks sakes, at least Kertia is in our group." He muttered, Phandrin hearing the small "and Icarius," at the end as he smiled.

"Ace is too, and Holly,... querda, I don't know the others, not personally at least," Phandrin wondered as Kwared nodded.
