Girl Meets Liam's Real Crush

Liam's POV
I was laying down in my bed, staring up at the ceiling as my mind goes back to Deja's movie night. I woke up to Maya's head on my chest as my arms were wrapped around her. I never felt anything like it before and I didn't want the feeling to go away.. Deja thinks I should tell Maya but I literally just told Riley I don't like her "anymore". And I don't think Maya will ever not do something in order to make Riley happy. I sighed and groaning into my pillow.

"Having fun there Ranger Roy?" I heard and I looked up to see Maya standing by my door. I instantly sit up

"Maya what are you doing here?" I asked and she moved her hair out of the way of her face.

"I just came to talk to you.. if that's okay." She said and I nodded

"Yea, of course. Come in." I said and she walked in before sitting down next to me on the bed.

"So how's it been?" She asked and I looked at her confused

"It's been good.." I said still confused and she rolled her eyes.

"No Huckleberry, how have you been since the whole Riley situation?" She clarified

"Oh.. uh it's been okay I guess. Just trying to deal with it all. You know?" I said and she nodded

"And t-the girl you like..? Have you told her yet?" She asked

"No I haven't.. and I don't think I'm going to.." I told her, making look at me confused.

"Why not? Don't you want to be off the market Ranger Rick? Don't you like her?" She asked bumping shoulders with me, making me laugh.

"Of course I do.. it's just complicated.." I said vaguely

"Don't hold out on me." She said jokily and I shook my head

"It's just.." I started

"It's just what?" She asked

"Her friend likes me and I don't want to start anything between them." I told her and she hummed before saying

"I think you should still tell her.. it seem like you really like this girl. And her friend should understand and realize that you don't like her like that and should be happy for her." Maya said.. the irony...

" so you think I should tell her?" I asked, I can't believe I'm about to do this...

"Yea if it makes you feel better, you can practice on me if you'd like." She said and I looked at her shocked.

"Who are you and what have you done to Maya Hart?" I asked with faux shock and she just rolled her eyes.

"Get on with it cowboy." She says and I took a deep breath before looking into Maya's eyes.

"I just wanted to tell you that I like you.. a lot. You're always on my mind 24/7.. I tried to act like I was into someone else but it didn't feel right to you. I just can't seem to get over the thought of you and I want to be with you. But I know you won't because of your best friend. Just know I'll wait for you." I said and Maya just stared at me speechless before clearing her throat.

"That was.. good. You should tell her exactly how you just did." She said with a fake smile on her face and I laughed a little.

"What? Why are you laughing?" She asked and I moved closer to her, moving a piece of her hair behind her ear, leaving my hand on her cheek. She involuntarily leaned into it...

"Maya.. I was talking about you.." I said shocking her.

"I like you.. you're the reason why I told Riley that her and I should just be friends. I just couldn't see myself with her." I finished and she moved away from me and stands up.
