Please Save Him!

We got to the hospital and I wasn't allowed to go in the room with them as I technically wasn't family, so I had to stand outside and wait while Aljaz received stitches.

"Janette?" A doctor said coming out of his room.

"Yes? Is he okay?!" I shouted running over to him.

"Yes he's fine. We've managed to stitch him up, but he's still under anaesthesia so it'll be a while before he wakes up, but you can go in and keep him company until he wakes up."

"Thank you, Doctor!" I said walking into Aljaz's room.

"Hey Bučko! I know you probably can't hear me, but it's Janette!" I said sitting down and taking his hand. "Don't you worry, I'm going to find them if it means me searching all day and night! They are not going to get away with doing this to you! Hurting me was one thing, but when they do it to, they're own son... that doesn't make sense!" Next my phone started ringing, I took it out my pocket and answered.

"Hey Bestie! How are you?" Dianne said cheerfully.

"Hey, I'm not good right now Dianne." I said trying to hold my tears in.

"Janette what's wrong? What's happened?" She asked panicking.

"We got back to Aljaz's house after he picked me up and his Mum was there, she tried to hurt me but Aljaz protected me, but he got hurt instead, she stabbed him! Luckily, she didn't go far enough in to kill him, but he's lost a lot of blood and he's had to have stitches. He's in a coma right now from the anaesthesia." I said letting my tears fall. 

"Oh my god Janette! How horrible!! Are you okay, do you need anything? Even just some company?"

"That would be lovely thank you Dianne! I just can't believe this has happened! The police have to find them now! It's gone on too long now! It won't be long before they start looking for me again."

"Janette I highly doubt they would come up there, remember that's where they got caught last time!"

"I know but still."

"Right hold on, I'll be there in five minutes! Love you bestie!" Dianne said hanging up.

"Hey darling." I said going back in to Aljaz's room. "Dianne's on her way up." I said taking his hand again. This time I felt him squeezing back.

"Bučko?" I said quietly. "Doctor!! He's waking up... I think!" I shouted. The doctor came running in to the room with a team behind him.

"I took his hand and he squeezed back!"

"Okay Janette, wait out here and we'll get him seen to!" A nurse said closing the doors. I instantly broke down and stood next to the door, not wanting to leave incase anything happened.

"Janette what's going on? I got here as fast as I could!" I heard Dianne shouting as she ran over to me.

"I took his hand and he squeezed back! I think he's waking up, but the doctors and nurses are checking him, and they won't let me stay with him! What if something happens to him Dianne?" I said falling into her arms.

"Shush Janette its okay!! He's going to be okay!" She said comfortingly.

"What if he's not?!" I said feeling my breathing go funny. Dianne picked up on this and she could tell that I was having a panic attack.

"Janette, listen, look at me, follow my breathing!" She said taking my hands and helping me breathe.

"I can't Dianne! I can't breathe!" I said panicking.

"Janette, seriously! Calm down, listen to my breathing and follow it! You're okay! In for four, hold for seven and out for eight!"

"I can't do it Dianne!" I could feel the room starting to spin and my vision was going blurry. "Oh no, I'm going to faint!" I was desperately trying to breathe but it just wasn't working.

"Can I get some help over here please?!" Dianne shouted and a student nurse came running over. "She's having a panic attack and I can't get her calmed down!" She said panicking.

"Hi Janette, my names Caitlin, look at me! Just breathe okay? You're going to be okay! Keep your eyes on mine and just breathe for me!"

I finally managed to follow her breathing and I calmed down, that was the worst panic attack I've ever had. It was horrible!

"Don't you ever do that to me again! Just be grateful we are in a hospital right now! You fully scared me Janette!" Dianne said crying.

"I'm sorry Dianne! I've never had one that bad before! Normally I can calm myself down, but it just wasn't happening that time!"

"Is everything okay out here?" The doctor asked coming over to us.

"Yeah fine now, this one had a full-blown panic attack but you're okay now aren't you Janette?" Caitlin asked.

"Yeah I'm fine now!"

"That good, because Aljaz is asking for you!"

"He's awake?!" I shouted standing up and losing my balance.

"Woah take it easy Janette, you nearly fainted remember?!" Caitlin said helping me up.

"Yeah he's awake. He's fine, but we're going to keep him in for a few days just to keep an eye on him."

"I don't think it's a good idea for him to be here by himself Doctor. His parents could be out there anywhere right now looking for us."

"We'll contact the police and tell them what's happened and tell them they have to start looking for them!"

"Bučka where are you?" I heard Aljaz shouting.

"Sounds like someone misses you!"

"Hi baby!!" I shouted running into the room. "I'm so glad you're okay!! I can't believe she did that to you!"

"No sweetheart it's my fault! I shouldn't have threatened to call the police, then maybe she wouldn't have done this."

"To be honest, I think she would've done it even if you weren't going to phone them. She's not well Aljaz! I think she needs mental help! She surely realises that she can't keep you with her forever!"

"I think I'd feel better knowing she was in prison, not in a mental home! Right now, she deserves to be in prison!" He shouted.

"Baby calm down! We don't want you hurting yourself! Now it's my turn to look after you! Since you did it five years ago!"

"Do you want me to give you two some space?" Dianne said poking her head around the door. "Hey Aljaz!"

"Hey Dianne! Thank you for keeping Janette company!"

"Yeah fine, until she had a panic attack on me!"

"I'm okay now though! I was just worried that something would happen to you!"

"Oh, what are we like darling? I'm lying here with stitches and you're having a panic attack and getting the nurses worked up!" He said laughing.

"Thanks Dianne! I'll phone you and keep you updated! I probably won't be at Uni tomorrow, but I'll phone Mrs Gilbert about that!"

"Okay that's fine! You guys know where I am if you need me!" She said coming over and giving me and Aljaz a hug.

"Janette I'm capable of looking after myself! I don't want you taking time off Uni for me! What about your exams?"

"Aljaz I can't leave you by yourself right now! You have to stay here for a couple of days but that doesn't mean once you leave here, you'll be strong enough to look after yourself! Let me worry about Uni and you just worry about getting better!" I said kissing his forehead.
