After Andy went home, she showered quickly and prepared herself for the day. By the time she was done she received a text from her father, telling her he needed her help and she needed to come to the dojo.
When she entered, Miguel was punching a dummy over and over again.
"Gonna bust your knuckles, Diaz?" He turned his head at her voice and smiled. Suddenly it dropped at the sight of her neck.
"Holy shit-did you and Hawk..."
"No!" She immediately yelled. "God no."
"Good." He nodded, before turning back to the dummy and kept punching. He somehow was fueled by the anger of Her and Hawk together. Johnny approached from the office, watching Miguel.
"Okok thats enough! Save some for the tournament." He announced, making miguel stop.
"Why are we the only ones here, Sensei?" He then asked.
"Cause lets face it, you two are the only chance I got at winning this thing." Miguel and Andy exchanged looks.
"So what? Were your best students?" Andy asked, Miguel holding a teasing smile.
"Don't flatter yourselves. Have you seen the others?" Johnny asked sarcastically as Miguel walked over to his phone and opened it, laughing at something. "What's so funny?"
"Oh nothing, just this funny picture my girlfriend posted." Miguel laughed. Johnny walked over and glanced at the phone.
"Wait a second." He snatched it. "Is that Daniel LaRusso's daughter?"
"Yeah, you know Samantha?"
"Oh shit here we go." Andy mumbled.
"You're dating a LaRusso?"
"Yeah, why? Is something wrong?"
Johnny glanced back at his daughter before sighing.
"We need to talk."
Johnny walked off to the office while Miguel changed from his gi to his real clothes. Andy sighed.
"What's going on?" Miguel asked.
"Remember that night when we were preparing the dojo for inspection and when we came out of the bathroom there was a guy insulting our family? And then you said if you don't like him then neither do I?"
"Yeah."
"That was Daniel LaRusso..."
"Oh shit-why didn't you tell me?"
"You liked Sam so much...I'm sorry."
The three of them made it outside, sitting on a parking stopper with drinks in their hands.
"It was the summer of '82. Rocky 3 had just came out. My buddy Dutch was a huge Mr T fan, so we went to the local theater to check it out. Sitting in front of us was this group of cute chicks, eating popcorn. Dutch started throwing Milk Duds at them."
"Wha-What? Why would he do that?" Miguel asked, looking dumbfounded.
"Because it was an alpha move, man. Babes love when you treat them like crap."
"Hey now-"
"Anyway, eventually the girls got so pissed off, that one of them stood up and started yelling at us. That's when I saw her for the first time." Johnny smiled.
"Saw who?" Miguel asked.
"Ali. She dumped popcorn all over Dutch. Got butter all over him." They all laughed. "I could tell right away, man, this chick was a firecracker."
