Andy spent the last few weeks of her summer setting up the new Cobra Kai Dojo with the help of Miguel and her father. They used the check that Sid had given them, and rented a place next to the mini mart and a pawn shop. The place was starting to come together.
Because of Miguel and Andy being forced to do all the hard stuff at the new Dojo, the two grew very close, texting almost 24/7 and messing around while they worked. Over time, Andy noticed her actions around him. The butterflies whenever he hugged her goodnight, the longing looks in his direction, the constant need to be around him, the fire he left behind whenever he touched her.
She had feelings for him, and he probably didn't feel the same. So she pushed those feelings down, forced herself to stop looking at him so much, forced the butterflies down and forced herself not to feel that fire. She forced herself not to have feelings for him.
As for Miguel, he was confused, he didn't know why he stared at her, why his heart jumped whenever her name popped up on his phone, why he wanted to hold her hand whenever they walked down to the hardware store together. He didn't know why.
So, he shoved those weird feelings down, thinking they were normal when in fact they were not.
Finally, after a month and a half of work, the dojo was done. The black and red mats on the floor, mirrors lining one wall, wall stickers everywhere. They did an amazing job, and here stood Miguel and Andy in front of Johnny who had on his Cobra Kai black Gi.
The two males just stared at each other for a long time. Finally Miguel got tired of it.
"So am I gonna get the karate pajamas too..."
"QUIET!"
Miguel instantly shut up, and looked like he was going to shit his pants at any second. Andy smiled a bit, remembering her first lesson where she did the same thing.
"The student only speaks when spoken to, is that understood?"
"Yes." Johnny gave him a look. "Yes sir?"
"You'll always address me as Sensei. Is that understood?"
"Oh yes Sensei." Miguel nodded.
"These aren't pajamas this is a Gi and you'll get one when you've earned it." There was a few moments of silence. "Alright are you ready to begin your training?"
"Yes sensei."
Johnny then gave Andy a look and she sighed before grabbing Miguel and taking him to the ground before punching him only with half force in the chest. He let out a groan of pain and instantly Andy felt bad.
"Lesson one; strike first." Johnny walked over. "Never wait for the enemy to attack."
"Can you give me like a warning-"
"QUIET!"
Andy reached her hand down and pulled him up, and he allowed her to.
"We do not train to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak." Andy watched in amusement as Miguel brought out an inhaler. As her father continued talking, miguel took hit after hit off the inhaler until he finally noticed.
"What is the problem Mr Diaz?" He asked mid sentence.
"There's no problem sensei, she punched me in the chest and I have asthma so-" Miguel was cut off by Johnny grabbing his inhaler and throwing it against the wall, effectively breaking it.
"Not anymore, we do not allow weakness in this dojo. So you can leave you asthma and your peanut allergies and all that other made up bullshit outside, is that understood?" Johnny asked, motioning to the dojo.
