I wanna see her pt.2

Omniscient pov:

Melo sighed as he walked upstairs to his bedroom to get away from the crowd.

He wanted y/n to be late so he'll have a reason to despise her.

Even tho it's been a couple years since melo and his daughter left y/n...he still has feelings for her.

Everyday he regrets taking imani away from her mom but also knows that it helped y/n get her life together.

Y/n pov:

I smiled seeing melo girlfriend ashley texted me their address.

I'm kinda nervous seeing imani...what if she doesn't remember me, what if she hates me? All I kept thinking about where the what if's.

10 minutes later

I pulled into melo driveway and took a deep breath seeing so many people here.

I reached in the backseat and grabbed imani gifts that's I had brought her.

melo pov:

I heard the bedroom door open and saw Ashley standing at the door making me raise my eyebrow at her.

"Y/n is here." She said as my eyes widen as she told me to calm down.

"I gave her the address...before you go outside just think about imani and her feelings." She said as I thought about it before going downstairs.

I walked outside seeing y/n and imani playing on her swing set and y/n looked really good and she even had this glow on her.

"Dada look who is here." Imani said as I walked over to them.

"I see." I said as I finally made eye contact with y/n as she gave me a little smile.

"Hey lamelo ." She said as smiled hearing her voice again.

"Hey." I said trying not to be awkward.

"Dada can mommy and me have a sleepover?" She asked with a big smile on her face.

Y/n seemed kind shocked that imani asked that and i didn't want hurt imani feelings cause I could see that she didn't want to leave y/n side no time soon.

"I guess but only for tonight." I said as she smiled before giving me a hug.

"Imani come inside real quick." Zo said pecking his head out the door before waving at me and y/n.

"I'll be back mommy." Imani said as she ran into the house.

"Lamelo as much as you may hate me...I promise you, I'm not that same person anymore." She said and I could hear how hurt she was.

"Y/n, I really regret taking imani away from you but I know you needed that in order to open your eyes." I said.

"Does this mean...that I can see her again?" She asked as I smiled.

"It does but we have to take baby steps." I said as she smiled.

"You don't now how much this means to me." She said with her voice cracking a little bit.

"Y/n don't cry." I said smiling as I wiped her tears off her face.

"Look how about tomorrow we go out to lunch and get a schedule together." I said as she agreed.

"Once again thank you." She said as I smiled her.

I missed that beautiful smile of hers.

Imani soon came back out later and asked for me and y/n to play with her.

Y/n pov:

I smiled as imani gave me a kiss on the forehead.

"I missed you mommy." She said making me smile.

"I missed you also." I said.

This is all I ever wanted.
