Melo watched as one of his friends were flirting with y/n right in front of his face as if he didn't exist.
Melo and y/n were a couple but they had to keep it on the low especially since he knows people would be ready to tell the tabloids anything about him.
As much as he wanted the world to know about y/n, he didn't want her to have to deal with the things he deals with on a daily cause of social media.
He knew guys would flirt with her and had to accept that regardless of their situation. ——
Y/n pov:
I glanced over at Melo as his jaw had tightened and I tried to hurry and end the conversation with gordon but Gordon wasn't letting up.
"Umm I kinda have to go but it was nice meeting you." I said as gordon smiled at me before I awkwardly walked away.
I soon heard footsteps behind me as I turned and saw Melo and smiled as he grabbed my hand.
"Now let's go out to eat." He said as I laughed at him.
"Are you still not going to tell me where we are going?" I asked as he smiled down at me.
"Just let it be a surprise." He said as I sighed as we walked to my car.
I tossed melo the keys as I got on the passenger side.
"Wait one more thing...you need to put this on." He said as he handed me a blind food.
"Why?" I asked as he frowned.
"You don't ever stop asking questions I see." He said as he covered my eyes before helping me inside the car.
"Melo are you trying to kill me?" I asked as he laughed.
"No." He replied as I felt the car start moving.
"Baby, I can feel your halo" i sung before Melo turned down the radio.
"Singing isn't for everyone." He said as I wished he could see the look I was giving him.
Skip ride
"Ok now carefully step out the car." Melo said as he grabbed my hand.
"If I fall...I'm beating your ass" I said as he laughed as I stepped out the car.
I held Melo hand as he walked me to whatever destination he was taking me to before finally stopping.
"Ok now the blindfold is coming off." He said as he pulled it off.
"Baby this is beautiful." I said as looked at the picnic Melo had set out.
"I know, I heard you the other night when you was on the phone with nia talking about you wanted to have a surprise date." He said as I smiled before pecking his lips.
"It's nice to know you do listen to me when your playing the game." I said as he smiled at me as we sat down.
Hour later
"In ten years where do you see yourself?" I asked Melo as I was laying on his lap looking up at the sky.
"Hopefully by then I would have started a family with a very special girl and hopefully married by then."He said as he smiled down at me.
"Would the world know about us?" I asked as he smiled.
"I mean they could know about us now." He said as I smiled.
"But I think it's time for us to head home since it's getting late." He said as I nodded
After cleaning up and packing everything in the car i decided to take a nap since it was a long drive home.
Skip car ride
I woke as melo pulled the cover over us and looked at the tv seeing the game was on.
"I didn't mean to wake you." He said as nodded my head before grabbing my phone seeing I had a lot of notifications.
The first thing I saw on Instagram was Melo post and smiled at him as he gave me a wink.
