A/n: hi everyone! this is my first ever story so if you want you can totally comment things I could be doing better haha. I hope you all enjoy it!

Also, TW!!!!!!!!!!! this part talks about child abuse and rape, but it doesn't go into details, be careful please everyone!

You awake to the sound of your phone going off. You don't know what time it is, however you assume it can't be later than 5 in the morning given as the sun is yet to rise. You groan and answer your phone, "Agent Y/L/N".

"Y/n its Hotch we have a case. How fast can you get down here?"

"We'll be there in 45 minutes"

You hang up and groan as you check the time and see it says 3:57 am. You roll over and see the beautiful raven haired girl lying in your bed next to you. You wish you could just watch her like this all morning and cuddle up next to her and never let go, but nonetheless, you both had to rush to get to the BAU on time.

"Lovey wake up, we have a case" you nudge your girlfriend awake. She groans and throws the blanket over her head.

"Emily Prentiss, I am not going to be late again," you take the blanket off of her and give her a gentle good morning kiss, "let's go, I'll feed Sergio if you make some food?"

"Fineeeeeeeee" she groaned as she rolled over and gave you a proper, passionate good morning kiss.

After about a minute of passionately kissing your girlfriend, you pull her off of you and remind her that you're running behind schedule. You both throw on the first outfit you see from your closet and go accomplish your to-do lists. After you feed Sergio and grab your go bag, she throws some butter on a couple pieces of toast and grabs her go bag as well. You both race out the door and into Emily's car and drive as fast as possible to the BAU.

You both walk hand-in-hand up to the round table room and run into Garcia on your way in, "How are my favorite profiling love birds doing this fine morning?" Garcia giggled and teased.

"Who said this was a fine morning, it's 4am on a Saturday and I'm here without coffee or splenda." Emily complained and ran over to the kitchen in an attempt to start a pot of coffee that would hopefully be ready by the time the debriefing was over.

"Someone, not naming names," you looked over at Emily, "wouldn't get out of bed this morning and didn't have time to make her coffee." You teased as she flipped you off and yelled, "Heard that!" from the kitchen.

"I'm sure whatever you're talking about is very interesting but can we go up to the round table? We're on a bit of a time crunch, hence the 4am thing." Hotch reminded while walking past us.

After that we all speed walked into the round table room, unsure of what kind of case would be so urgent. We all sat down in our normal spots; you next to Spencer and Emily, Spencer sits next to Rossi who sits next to Morgan who sits next to JJ who sits next to Garcia who sits next to Hotch who sits next to Emily. Hotch thanks everyone for coming in early and Garcia begins to present the case.

"So I just want to say, this entire case just makes you feel yuck," Garcia gagged, "So last week 3 men were murdered, Greg Hughman, Erik Parker and most recently Craig Smith. All of the men are known predators and-"

Garcia's voice trailed off in your head, she kept talking but you stopped paying attention, and everyone could see it when Hotch brought in an Interpol agent to help with the case and you said nothing.

"So since this is clearly a vigilante case with a unique signature I decided to call in an expert from Interpol. This is Agent Y/L/N; he is an expert of vigilantes and hunts them down worldwide."

"Little Sis! I thought you'd be more excited to see me!" Your older brother teased. When you didn't even respond after that he knew something was wrong. He didn't have the chance to even look at the case yet, all Hotch told him about was the signature (branding justice all over the victims' bodies)

"Oh shit, is that Craig Smith from Tacoma Washington?" your brother asked, finally looking up at the screen.

"Yeah how'd you know?" Garcia questioned.

Your brother grabbed your arm and walked you into another room and sat you down.

Emily's POV:

"Does anyone know what's going on with y/n? Emily do you know?" Morgan asked.

"I have no clue, let me go check on her, I've never seen her this way." I was genuinely worried about y/n. We've been together for almost 2 years now and she has never frozen like that, especially not in front of the team. She hates seeming weak or damaged in front of the team. What was wrong?

You walk into the doorway of your office and see y/n sitting on the ground talking to her brother in such a fearful way.

"Y/n, it's ok, he left, he's even dead now, and he can't hurt you or mom anymore. I promise." Y/n's brother said in a caring way rubbing her arm.

As soon as you heard that you stopped dead in your tracks, luckily y/n and her brother haven't seen you yet. What the hell happened? You wondered. Why didn't she ever tell me about this?

"Leo it's been years since it happened, I mean one of our teammates has a kid as old as me when it happened! I just can't stop seeing his face right now. That man raped and beat me and ruined me when I was just 11, now I have to find the man that killed him and bring him to justice? I don't- I don't think I can do that. I think I'll just want to thank the man." y/n pleaded to her brother.

Oh my god. How could someone ever do that to a kid?! You thought to yourself, I mean, I know I see it all the time, sadly, but y/n? I never knew, I can't imagine what she's going through right now, and I have no clue how to help her. I backed out of my office and just sat outside it against the wall, listening to y/n plead to her brother for another 20 minutes until he walked out and saw you there. He just gives you a sorrowful look and grabs your hand and pulls you into the round table room where he started to explain a little of the situation to the team, with y/n's blessing of course.

a/n hey guys thanks for reading part one! I'll try to do an update at least twice a week with this, I have a rough idea of where I'm going with this but ideas are welcome if you have any!
