Y/N's POV

I talked to Emily for a few minutes after Leo left, but I heard Lay-Lay yell at him from all the way in my room and I just looked up at Emily and said, "She hates his job. Every time I see her, she always breaks down about it. The kid is fifteen; she deserves a childhood with both her parents present."

"I know babe, soon. Trust me, Leo's going to get a different job, this is going to stick with him, I guarantee that." Emily responded while holding my hand and running her thumb over my knuckles.

"I hope so," she leaned in and kissed me affectionately and passionately. About a minute into our kiss, I grabbed her shirt and pulled her in closer and reached my hand across her neck, but she pulled away and said, "Babe, I love you, but no. Not only are you still in the hospital, and not even close to healed, you're probably still high from the pain medication." She sat on the side of my bed and looked me dead in the eyes.

"Love, you heard the nurse; right? Three weeks, minimum. We're going need to figure out a way to sneak around like we're in high school again, because I am not going three weeks with no action whatsoever." I said sarcastically and we both chuckled a little.

Emily's smile broke into a dead serious look as she squeezed my hand so tight it hurt a little and said, "You'll do whatever I tell you to. If you have to wait three weeks for me to play with you, you will. Understood?"

"Yes ma'am" I said looking her dead in the eyes while she let go of my hand.

"Good, now control yourself, your mother will be here soon." She looked me dead in the eyes and chuckled a little bit while I took a deep breath and disappointedly sighed.

"Why is mother coming back in here?" I groaned.

"Because I asked her to, I wanted to see some of your baby pictures." She laughed and I just looked down at the bed.

"Babe, you do understand my childhood was awful, right?" She just looked at me surprised and reached for my hand, but I pulled it away and she looked taken aback, "What's wrong love?" she asked in a worried yet caring way.

"Emily, my mother has maybe 4 or 5 baby pictures of me, because she threw the rest of them away after she was mad at me when she was high one time. I don't have a great relationship with her; honestly I don't have any relationship with her. The only reason I was so worried for her was because Leo does. But Em, she was too stoned to give a damn about anything other than degrading and beating me for most of my life. And even though she got sober three years ago, that shit doesn't just go away. I don't want her here. Leo left, so I figured she would too." I ranted with tears streaming down my face and anger in my voice.

"Baby I'm sorry, I'll take care of it so you don't have to see her again." Emily said and wiped the tears from my face as I started to regain my composure.

I looked up at Emily and took a few deep breaths and said, "No, I should be the one to talk to her. If it doesn't come from me, she won't take it seriously. Just send her in here, and watch her on the way out, make sure she doesn't steal any prescription pads or anything. Knowing her, she'll use the fight as an excuse to relapse." I sighed.

"Babe are you sure?" Emily questioned.

"Yes, I got it. Just go." I snapped. I immediately felt bad for snapping at her, especially when I saw the hurt look on her face, "Babe, I'm sorry for snapping; just bring her in please." I looked up at her as she kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.
