Y/N's POV:

"They're seriously sending you into the field after what just happened?!" I asked angrily in disbelief.

"Even if they do put me undercover for this, I won't be in the field for at least a month. It normally takes a little while to get in with them, given the hidden nature of vigilantes. But I have a shit ton of paperwork from this case. Switching from federal to international jurisdiction is a bitch, and I didn't have time to file it earlier." He sighed while he shook his head and started to stand up and leave, "And it's gotta be a bad one if he said, 'debrief when secure'. Sometimes I hate this job."

"You could always come over and work for the bureau." I joked and he laughed a little.

"And have to see your annoying face every day? Yeah, I'll pass." He laughed but I could see the gears turning in his head.

"What're you thinking about?" Emily asked curiously.

"I don't know. Working for the bureau wouldn't be so bad I guess. I would probably see Tristan and Lay-Lay more." He confessed, and I secretly got very excited.

"You could move them down to D.C, I know Lay would love it, and Tris would live with it." I laughed.

"No, there's no where I would even be able to go, you don't have an opening for another agent right now. And Swan's team does as much undercover as I do now basically." He shook his head and looked at the ground.

"Actually," Emily interrupted and looked down and bit her lip, "you didn't hear this from me, but Rossi is thinking of retiring within the next 6 months. There would be an opening again."

"Wow, Rossi is just, wow; I don't think I could ever imagine the BAU without him. He's been refusing retirement for years; why now?" I asked confused.

"Well, truthfully, Morgan was never able to forgive him after he found out about Rossi's past and that just makes the environment hostile for everyone. And the man's getting old," she laughed, "you can only do this job for so long."

We all laughed and looked over at Leo as he said, "I'll talk to Hotch about it soon." He started to walk out the door.

"Hey!" I yelled for him at the doorway, "You don't get to just go on another dangerous case without as much as a goodbye, come here." I waved him back over and hugged him; the morphine was definitely working because I didn't feel any pain as I lifted my arm around his body. He pulled away from me and gave Emily a quick hug.

After just a second, they pulled apart and Emily said, "Hey, you call me if you need me. And if Clyde's being too much of an ass or you're in pain and he won't listen, give me a call. I'll straighten him out; he kind of owes me after the whole Doyle thing still." We all chuckled as he walked out of the door.

I yelled, "And say goodbye to Mom before you go!" as he walked just outside my room.

We saw him look up and groan and head towards the waiting room.

After that, Emily grabbed my hand and I held hers as tight as I could and said, "This is gonna suck for a while. If something happens, I can't go see him." I confessed and held back tears.

"I know love, but it'll fly by. And you know how long it takes for him to get deep into a case, by the time that happens you will be out of here and back home in D.C." She looked me in the eyes and kissed my hand.
