I heard noises. Something walking around and then "Hey I think I found something!" someone yelled. My eyes snapped open. what!? I started to panick. I heard feet running. I got up my breathing becoming quicker. "Well well what do we have here?" another voice said. I pressed myself against the inside of the tree trunk. They couldn't see me at the moment, because the shelter was partly hiding me. I knew they will see me if they decide to look inside the shelter. There were loud steps going around the tree and stopping. "Luca!" the person yelled "I know you're here somewhere!" Luca? I thought Who's Luca? There was no respond. Someone was getting near the entrance. "You know, the more you hide the worse it gets..." I saw feet at the entrance. They stopped and I held my breath. Someone started kneeling and looked inside. I pressed myself even more against the tree making myself even smaller. He looked and observed every corner. It was pretty dark inside. I guess he decided he saw nothing in particular. "He's not here." he said. He stood up and went away. I sighed in relief. "What should we do?" another voice asked. There was silence. "Burn it" the man said. I froze What?
"Yes sir." voices said in unison. Someone took out a bottle and I heard splashing sounds around me. Then there was a clicking sound and I smelt something burn. "Now we wait" the man who gave the order said. My eyes were wide with fear. I couldn't stay here. But I also couldn't go out. Help! I yelled in my mind Somebody please help! I started feeling really hot. There was smoke slowly surrounding me and it was beginning to get harder to breathe. I suddenly heard barking. "Watch out" I heard a yell. Then there was a sound of pearcing flesh. I coughed. "You!" someone else yelled and there was a sound of clashing swords. "Attack!" another ine yelled. I coughed more. I had to ge out of here. I slowly dragged myself out of the tree hole. There were flames surrounding me. I slowly crawled to the exit than I heard a crack and something heavy fell on top of me. I tried to get it of but I was too tired. "Help" I croaked still hearing sounds of battle and snarling. Dark spots started to show. "Help" I mumbled to myself and I felt darkness overtake me.

I smelt the air. Something was burning. "Marco? what is it boy?" I yelled behind him. He was ignoring me. We soon started reaching a clearing and then Marco snarled and jumped. I heard a scream and a sound of tearing flesh. I quickly ran behind him. There was fire. It was spreading on a tree that was layed in the center of the meadow. There were people standing around it. I looked at them and saw an emblem of a black sun on one of their clothes. Oh shit I thought to myself. It was Montius's men. "You!" one of the men yelled. I turned around just in time to take out my sword and defend myself from the rain of attacks. I blocked one of the swords and slashed it's owner across the chest. I sensed another attack and blocked it just in time. I turned around and slashed, but also blocking another attack. On my right I saw Marco jump another guy and tear his throat out. I smirked and continued attacking. I fell in a frenzy of blocks and attacks. I lost count of the men I slayed. Which wasn't really that many only eight or so. I stabbed the last one and left him fall to the ground. I took a shaky breath. I felt a tinging pain in my right arm. I looked at it and found a pretty big wound. "Shit" I cursed. I bent down to the now dead man and tore a piece of clothing which I tied around my arm. I spotted Marco near the fire dragging something. I came closer. It was a small body covered with fur. I knelt down and turned it around. I gasped. It was the little kid from before. I checked the kid's body. The burns weren't so bad, because the fur coat took most of the damage, but he wasn't breathing. "He needs air!" I yelled to no one in particular. I put my mouth on his and exhaled. Pushing my air into his lungs. I did it again and again and then I started masaging his heart. "Come on, come on" I said to him again putting my lips on his and exhaling. I did it again and then he started coughing. Thank god I sighed relieved. The boy passed out still breathing and I picked him up. Marco was on my left with a weird look of satisfaction. "What?" I growled. He did nothing. "Stupid dog" I said once again and started walking away from the burning tree and bodies carrying the little kid on my back.
