I came back to the camp and Luca was already packing. He noticed me "Hi kid," he said and came to me carrying a big bag. "Here's a present for you," he said and dropped it on me. It was heavy and I still hurt a bit from my injuries so I hissed at him. "Stop complaining we all have a tough life at some point" I gave him a mean look, but he ignored me and just carried on with putting his things into bags. Fixing the bag on the part of my back that wasn't injured I turned and saw Marco, who was lying on the ground and resting in the sun. I started walking to him and he raised his head. I waved at him and he barked and layed his head back on his paws giving me permission to approach. I knelt to him and patted him on the back. His ears twitched and I scratched his head. He didn't move so I guess he didn't opppose to me carressing him. "We're going to Autverg," Luca said while putting out the fire. I turned to him and tilted my head to the left giving him a confused look. I didn't know where Autverg was. The only town that was known to me was Önder. That was where I grew up. Where every memory of the girl known as Annabella Orscich was made.
Luca saw the confusion on my face and said: "It's a three days walk on the road from here." He looked at the forest "Five for us beacause were not going to travel on the road." I shrugged not really caring how we were going to get there. I continued with my harrassment on Marco and Luca continued with tidying up the camp place. I thought about the possibilities of what's going to happen, if Luca turned out not to be trustworthy. I could go back to living in the woods. I missed the freedom a bit. I knew I couldn't go back home. There was nothing waiting for me there. If I made it to Autverg I could steal things and live like that. Marco as if hearing my thoughts growled and I stopped and looked at him. He was still laying on the ground completely relaxed. He was rrally confusing for an animal. Luca just finished with packing and sighed. He put the rucsag on his back and he whisled. Marco stood up and ran to his side. He turned to me and said: "Come on kid it's time to go." I nodded and stood up. I made my way to them and we started to walk in the direction that Luca gave. I looked back to the way we came from. There was my home and my woods. I clenched the fabric of the bag I was holding and turned my head forward. It was the beginning of the long path away from home.
