"Fuck, my brain is a void."
"You're not the only one." Olivia groans as her head falls onto the keys of her grand piano, making multiple out-of-tune sounds.
"We do this all the time! Why is it that the one time it really matters, inspiration is forbidden from entering our heads?" Minnie flops into a sitting position on the floor, rubbing her temples in annoyance.
"We have the melody, it's just the lyrics we need." Minnie adds, following with a long sigh, "Just the goddamn lyrics."
"What we need is creative energy, something that channels or triggers the lyrics. Since we don't have that yet, let's opt for some sun, yeah?" Olivia stands from her position at the piano and looks down at Minnie on the floor.
She offers her hand to Minnie, "Ya know this is gonna bother me all day right?" Minnie asks as she takes Olivia's hand.
"Oh yeah, I'm counting on it." Olivia laughs as she hoists the girl up.

The girls decided the apartment complex pool seemed like a nice place to lounge for a while, considering it was only a 3-minute walk. They changed into their swimsuits and made their way there, and almost made it there, before Minnie had to sprint back to Olivia's apartment due to forgetting the pool key.
Once she had retrieved the foolishly forgotten piece of plastic, Minnie walked out to see Olivia waiting under the tree that stood next to her residential building.
"I got it!" Minnie bounces down the stairs with her arms raised in victory, the pool key tight in her right hand's clutch.
"Finally! Where was it?" Olivia questions.
"On your bed, I looked everywhere and it was under the stupid blanket." Minnie passes the card to Olivia as they begin their walk to the pool, for the second time today.
"Hey, I like that stupid blanket." Olivia feigns a frown before Minnie playfully shoves her with her shoulder.
"I know you do, I was the one who bought it," Minnie smiles at the girl beside her.

The girls end their 3-minute journey to the pool, and as they're about to reach the gate which, in this heat, Minnie considers the gates of Heaven, Olivia stops in her tracks.
Minnie hears the halt of the girl's steps and turns back to see Olivia focused on a red car parked outside the gates. Her eyes follow Olivia's gaze and a confused look crosses over her face.
"Liv?" Minnie steps closer, attempting to catch the look on Olivia's face.
"That's Josh's car." Olivia turns to Minnie, matching her look of confusion.
"What's he doing here?" Minnie didn't do a very good job at hiding her annoyance.
"I... didn't invite him." Olivia looks as though she swears it.
"Alright let's go look in the window, see if he's in there, maybe he's here to surprise you," Minnie suggests, nonchalantly walking up to the vehicle.
"Why would he surprise me?" Olivia questions.
"Isn't that what boyfriends do?" Minnie is genuinely unaware of how boyfriends operate.
Olivia laughs as she catches up to Minnie, catching up to her and grabbing hold of her hands.
"Come on, idiot." She pulls Minnie towards the car, catching her off guard and almost causing her to trip.
