Minnie was thinking, and more than usual, she'd like to admit. For when she woke up this morning to an empty- sorry, mattress, there was no Olivia in sight. In fact, after searching the entire house, there was still no Olivia.

So now, she's very aggressively plugging in her dead phone, because of course, it had to be dead. She sits down on the corner of her mattress, her foot tapping rapidly up and down on the floor and her head in her hands.

Maybe she just went to get groceries or was hungry for some pickle chips! Maybe she forgot something back at the apartment! Maybe she realized Minnie has a big fat gay crush on her and bolted out the door as fast as she could!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The click of the front door rudely interrupts Minnie's intrusive thoughts as she sprints out of her bedroom door. What she definitely didn't prepare for was the horrible placement of a sheet on the hardwood floor outside of her door, her foot slipping right underneath her as she hits the ground with a thud.

Her cheek was laying on the cold floor when she realized where she was, her eyes opening to see feet, not more than 6 inches from her face.

"Were you always this clumsy?" Olivia's voice sounds.

"Oh thank God, I thought you were dead or some shit," Minnie says as she stands up, taking Olivia's offered hand of support.

"I just went to grab some ice cream." Olivia laughed as Minnie smacks her forehead.

"I know, I don't know why I was freaking out, I just, I thought- I mean I guess I had thoughts-"

"Thoughts about what?" Olivia blurted, her face painted red with embarrassment.

"I was just worried... that you had started unpacking without me!" With a forced smile, she concluded, "Didn't want you to have to do all the dirty work by yourself!" Minnie's speedy recovery has her internally rewarding herself, missing the slight drop in Olivia's face, quickly covered up by a smile... a fake one albeit.

"Y-yeah, I mean no, I haven't started. Never without you." Olivia's eyes pored into Minnie's before Minnie broke the moment with a forced clearing of her throat.

"Alright well let's get these ice creams into the freezer..." Minnie takes the bag from Olivia, "and then we're gonna get started on unpacking the living room, yeah?"

"Yeah, of course... of course," Olivia sighed and followed Minnie into the kitchen.

Sometime later, most of the living room was done, completely unpacked, and set in place. The only thing left was unwrapping the plastic on the couch and placing the cushions, that came separately for who knows why.

"FUCK"

"What happened?!" Olivia came rushing into the living room at the sound of Minnie's loud exclamation.

There stood a Minnie in front of the couch the girls had picked out last week. It sat cushionless, two of said missing cushions clutched in both of Minnie's hands, the rest splayed on the floor.

"I don't know which parts of the couch they go on," Minnie pouts.

"You're so dramatic," Olivia laughs in relief.

"True but also not true, because where the fuck do these cushions go?" Minnie asks, a childish frown occupying her features.

Olivia smiled, rolling her eyes before leaning down to pick the other two cushions on the floor. She examines one of the two carefully, her eyes flicking from the cushion to the couch.

"Well, this one... goes here! 'Cause look, see how the curve on the left matches with the curve of the end of the couch?"

"Yeah, actually, can you do that three more times, por favor?" Minnie smiled innocently, as she really didn't feel like matching puzzle pieces, especially when her life is always missing one.
