It was Christmas Eve. 1785 Cornelius Street was completely unpacked and tucked calmly between its neighboring suburbian homes.
As for 1785's residents, they were too, tucked in together, snuggling under the black sherpa blanket that draped warmth over the both of them. The lit-up and rather well-decorated Christmas tree sat in the corner, watching over the two girls. They were in the middle of a Christmas movie marathon, and after they both mutually decided that High School Musical counted as one (because of the beginning), they were watching it.
Ryan and Sharpay were bopping to the top of the ladder when Minnie spoke for the first time since the dance number began, "You know I'm kinda glad they appropriated my culture for this."
Olivia laughed as she cuddled closer into her girlfriend. "They did it for you, babe," she joked as she gave Minnie a peck on the cheek. Minnie looked at the girl in adoration, "Yeah, 3-year-old me was honored."
Minnie's smile shaped into a frown as Olivia sat up from the couch, "Hey, don't leave me," she pouted as she held Olivia's wrist.
"I just have to go pee," Olivia laughed, "You can last 5 minutes without me."
"I don't need you, I need your body warmth," Minnie joked.
Olivia caught onto the joke, playing along, "Well, in that case, you're not getting either, you can sleep in your own room tonight," her eyebrow quirking playfully as she smirked.
Minnie's face contorted into a matching smirk, knowing damn well Olivia was too clingy to sleep alone. "Alright, I will," she challenged.
"Wait, really?" Olivia's eyes found their puppy dog nature and Minnie's heart nearly melted.
"Of course not, love," Minnie fell into the trap as her eyes shaped into their own look of concern.
"Hah, got ya! Acting, bitch, learn about it!" Olivia laughed as she ran to the other room, knowing what's to come.
"You little shit!" Minnie half-yelled, half-laughed, leaping off of the couch and out of the warm blanket, chasing Olivia through the hallway of their shared home.
Olivia had nowhere to go but her bedroom, jumping on the bed and bracing for the tickle attacks of none other than Minnie.
As she had expected, within seconds, Minnie had caught her. She was tickling at her sides relentlessly, Olivia laughing out of breath before fighting back.
Now, Minnie was being attacked by the tickle-thirsty jaws that were Olivia's hands.
"Sto- o- op!" She managed to say between laughs.
Both girls were out of breath as they were plopped on their backs on Olivia's bed.
Minnie looked to Olivia, "You know you look good out of breath?" She meant it in the most non-innuendo way but she knew as soon as she said it that she was going to get teased to hell and back for it tomorrow.
"You know I love you?" Olivia said, smiling with every butterfly fluttering in the depths of her stomach.
"Unfortunately," Minnie jokingly rolled her eyes.
Olivia rolled off of her back, both her arms moving to either side of Minnie, now straddling Minnie's stomach.
Her head moved downwards to Minnie's, their lips barely grazing. Minnie was silent as her breath hitched.
"Say it back, and I'll kiss you next time," Olivia whispered.
"Next time?" Minnie whispered back, breathless.
