17. Innocent Seductress

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"It... It b-beautiful."

Ang daming colors. Masarap iyon sa mata. I understand simple things a little like the color and how they look good and how I appreciate their beauty. My hands are little just like me. Nilaro ko ang buhok kong naka-pigtail. I smiled.

"What is the n-name of c-color?" I asked my new playmate. Dinala siya ni daddy para may kalaro ako. My daddy is always busy, he always say next time. Hinihintay ko pa rin kung hanggang kailan ang next time na sinasabi niya. Sana sa susunod na araw na ang next time.

"It's called rainbow." Lev answered. He is my only friend in the house, I had once but daddy forbids me to visit my friend. Hindi ko na uli siya nakita. Gusto ko sana itong bigyan ng cookies.

Nagpalipat - lipat ang tingin ko sa kanya at saka sa ni-color namin sa paper. "R-rainbow? But I... I am R-rainbow..." I was confused. Pwede bang may kapareho ako ng name?

"You are probably named after that." He even said. "Or the rainbow after the rain."

I pouted and hugged Momo. Hindi ko naman maintindihan kung anong sinasabi niya. Mahaba kasi ito tapos mabilis pa magsalita. Kumamot ako sa ulo.

"I... I am R-rainbow. My n-name is R-rainbow." pag-uulit ko.

Pinisil nito ang aking pisngi. "I know. The color is rainbow, too."

"I am rainbow..." Nagsimula na akong makaramdam ng iritasyon. Mas lalong humaba ang nguso ko. "What is the c-color of your e-eyes?" pagbaling ko sa kanyang mata.

He looked away. "It's brown..."

"No, it is n-not..." I smiled at him with my broken teeth. "The color is like this one. It... It b-beautiful..." Tinuro ko ang hawak kong coloring book na may ganoong kulay.

Lev shook his head, but he smiled. "You are beautiful too, Rainbow."

"R-really?" Hindi nawala ang ngiti sa labi ko. "Then, you should m-marry me..." My cheeks blushed. I don't even understand the word marry fully, I just knew it is being said to someone who compliments me and marries them afterwards.

"You're young, and besides," he bit his lip. "You'll hate me."

My forehead creased. "But I... I d-don't..." inosente kong sagot. I don't hate him. I am happy that he is here.

Lev laughed. "I will marry you, then."

"O-okay..."

I started coloring the book again. I love to mix the colors, hindi ko pa naman alam iyong tawag sa kanila. Madalas nakatuon doon ang atensyon ko.

With Lev, we also play and roam around the whole villa. Daddy owns a big mansion and big villa. I am always lost in the mansion. Mayroon din siyang maraming guards and they are not friendly. Ayaw nila akong kalaro. Minsan may tinutok na malamig na bakal ang guard sa noo ko. Sabi niya, hindi raw ako pwedeng gumalaw o may sasabog daw. Sinunod ko naman ito kahit hindi ko naintindihan.

There were always visitors in the house. And I don't like them. I always stay in my room when someone comes over. Mukha silang bad people.

"Where's your mom?"

I looked up to see my playmate with a tray of pancakes. Oh, I love those! Hindi ako pinagbabawalan kumain ng ganoon. May isa akong kinain noon, tapos nahirapan akong huminga. Ginawa ko na lang itong pet, pero namatay naman. Umiyak na lang ako.
