Lancelot is put on trial for his crimes and an unexpected turn of events has deadly consequences.

I won't run the guilt is mine,
Too long denying all my crimes.
Face what I deserve,
Here comes Judgement Day.

"Three days is up, your Grace."

The young queen ground her jaw to stop herself from lashing out her unbridling temper at the elder. Her gold set like stone on the green in his eyes and she could not help the sternness that seethed with her strength when she spoke,

"As you have pointed out Grenn, I rule in this forest. I decide when you will get your trial. Therefore, you will do as I say and unbind his hands."

Grenn stared back at her with his indignant expression of bitter distaste. He let his voice rise so that everyone may hear, "You promised us three days, and that is now."

"And I will not break that promise," Ari responded immediately, "you can take the Fey and you can prepare the circle. But you will remove the binds from his hands."

Lancelot had his usual impassive scowl as he stared at Ari and the grey elder several paces away from where he was being held beside his stump

Lancelot had his usual impassive scowl as he stared at Ari and the grey elder several paces away from where he was being held beside his stump. The splintering rope was tied too tightly around his wrists and rubbed at where the grazes from the last binds he had been graced with were only just healing. It stung but he ignored it.

The old man was right, they had promised no more than three days before they could put him to some kind of trial. Lancelot really just wanted to get this over with, as difficult as he knew it would be. He didn't know quite what he was throwing himself into since the Fey laws and customs were still new to him but he heard Ari say the circle and he gathered some idea of what might happen. There wasn't a single set of eyes in the clearing that were not watching the commotion, the queen's tone was enough to draw out a crowd from their tents so early in the morning. The sun was still barely breaking above the trees. Lancelot didn't deviate his sights away from the gold that he was falling for.
