I walked out of the rehabilitation center with my suitcase. I went up to Carol who was waiting for me by the car and smiled. "Hey."

"Hey, hun." She hugged me. "How was it?"

"Horrible." I pulled away and and she crossed her arms. "It couldn't have been that bad. Now, get in." She smiled and took my luggage.

That week I was back, i tried texting Santana, calling her, trying everything but she never answered. I assumed she was too busy, but what could possibly hold her up for this long?

The first day of school rolled around and all I could really remember about that morning was how nervous I was. I kept thinking 'what if everyone stares?'. But when I got into the school I was attacked by happy juniors who asked me questions and complimented me. "I heard you won at Nationals, that is so cool!" "You are so brave to go to rehab." "You're my favorite Glee member!"

"Oh, my god." I tried getting away from them and Sam walked up to me. "Great, isn't it?" He asked from a distance and I shook my head trying to push everyone off. "Not at all! Help!" I yelled over the screams and he grabbed my hand laughing. He pulled me away from the crowd and I ran to the Glee room before they followed.

"Oh my god, you're alive?!" Sugar looked at me and Brittany ran up to me giving me a hug. "Lord Tubbington was just about to throw a funeral. You came at the right time."

"I have so much to catch you up on." Brittany walked me to a chair and I sat smiling up at her.

"Glee!" Mr Schuester walked in and everyone cheered. "We are coming off of a National Championship, but it's time to look forward. And thanks to Glee being the coolest club in the school, this shouldn't be a problem. Yes we've lost some big voices but we still have some huge ones in here. And I promise to do everything I can to replace the ones that we lost. And on that note, i'd like to introduce you to our newest  member: the MVP of last year's nationals, Wade 'Unique' Adams." He clapped and Unique walked in.

We clapped and Brittany smiled. "That's a great haircut Mercedes, i thought you graduated."

"I wanted to be somewhere where different was celebrated." Unique said and Mr Shue smiled. "We are so excited to have you."

Me and a few people clapped (sam, artie, joe, and sugar) and Mr Schuester looked over at us confused. "Guys...where's the love?"

"I think Wade is great." Blaine answered. "But the competition to be the new Rachel is already so intense, the last thing that we need is one more contender."

"The new Rachel?" Mr Shue asked confused.

"Every Glee club needs a star performer." Tina answered. "Rachel was that and now that she's gone, many want the job."

"We don't win with stars. We win as a team. One that supports new members. I don't want to hear anymore of this new Rachel stuff, okay? Wade, have a seat."

LUNCH.

"Brittany, I'm sorry but I won fair and square. You can't just decide not to sing anymore. We all need your voice." Blaine scoffed and Brittany rolled her eyes. "I had a song in my voice, Blaine Warbler, and you killed it. And pretty soon the corpse of my dead song is going to start to smell."

"Okay, guys." Kitty chimed in. "Since we can't do a popularity homecoming float with all white people, I say I think we do one with all white chrysanthemums." She smiled and I looked at her confused.

"We need a float, why don't we just ride her?" One of the football players pointed to a lunch lady and I rolled my eyes.

"Look at her boobs. It's like to two grocery bags full of soup." Sugar insulted and Marley slammed her hands on the table. "That's really mean. You don't know her. You don't know what her life is like."

"So? Why do you care?" Kitty scoffed.

"B-Because she's my mom." She said and everyone went silent. I shook my head and sighed as Marley left the table. "I thought you guys were different."

"You guys are terrible." I stood up and walked over to Marley who was sitting in table by herself. "You here to make fun of me now?" She asked and I sat across from her. "I'm not like that. I don't know why they're like that now. They used to be cool about things. Guess sitting with Cheerios made them feel bigger than everyone else."

"So you won't make fun of my mom?"

"Unless your mom makes fun of me, no." I smiled and she laughed looking down. "Thanks."

"I'm Y/n, by the way. I don't think I had time to introduce myself."

"You didn't." She said and paused. "Oh, my gosh. You're the girl who was in rehab this summer. I-I just- I hope you're okay now."

"I am." I nodded. "But i'm not what we're talking about. We're talking about you." I smiled and sat up straight. "So where are you from?"

AFTER SCHOOL.

"All right." Burt stopped the car in front of an airport. "As soon as you find a place to live, i'll ship you the rest of your stuff. And you'll get enough cash from selling your car to get you through at least two weeks in a motel. And the emergency credit card, which is only for what?"

"Emergencies." Kurt finished. "Dad, this is silly. I don't have to be in New York to reapply for NYADA. So I can find a job that pays me the same amount as the Lima Bean, but pay ten times more in rent?"

"Yeah, because it's an adventure. Look, all great artists need a little struggle in their lives. Didn't you tell me that Julia Roberts sold shoes in New York before she made it. Good enough for pretty woman, good enough for Kurt Hummel."

"Go, Kurt." I smiled and he looked back at me. "You won't be alone?"

"I won't be alone." I promised and he took a deep breath as he turned to the window. "You scared?" Burt asked and Kurt nodded. "Terrified."

"New York is going to be a breeze compared to Lima. Think about all the crap you been putting up with for the last years. You know the difference between this place in New York?"

"Decent Bagels?" Kurt asked and Burt laughed. "New York is filled with people like you. People who aren't afraid to be different. You're gonna feel at home there."

"You truly are the world's greatest dad." Kurt smiled and Burt nodded. "I know. It's written on the coffee mug you got me for fathers day. Now get out of here. You're going to miss your flight." They hugged and Kurt turned to me. "I'm gonna miss you. I'm gonna miss both of you."

"Go." I smiled and he nodded opening the the truck door. He stepped out shutting the door and looked at us one last time. "I love you, dad." He smiled. "You too, Y/n."

"We love you, Kurt." Burt said and Kurt walked into the airport looking back at us every once while.

"Well, looks like you finally got the hard part over with." I patted Burts back and he nodded with tears in his eyes. "Yeah." He started the car. "How 'bout we go eat Chinese in honor of Kurt?"

this chapter wasn't the best, sorry <3
