𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐡𝗼𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝗼𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧

"For a smile we can share the night. But the movie never ends, it goes on and on and on and on." The music stopped and Quinn ran out of the room.

"I think she just had a bad breakfast burrito." Finn said.

"Can we please talk about the giant elephant in the room?" Kurt asked. "Your sexuality?" Santana asked.

"Rachel. We can't do it without her."

"That's not true. We might have to layer Santana and Mercedes over Quinn's solo...we'll be fine." Mr. Schuester said.

"Maybe for the invitationals but not for the sectionals and certainly not the regionals." Artie sighed.

"The wheelchair kid is right. That Rachel chick makes me want to light myself on fire, but she can sing." Puck said.

"As much as i hate to agree that we need Rachel Berry...we do. She has a good voice even if it comes with personality that makes you want to suffocate yourself." I said.

"Rachel left, guys. She's gone. If we want to make this work, we need to focus on right now. Take five guys."

the next day.

"Guys, i'd like you to meet someone very special. This is April Rhodes." Mr. Schuester said and a women waved. "She's our newest member."

"Wait, so old people can join glee club now?" Finn asked.

"Old, huh? You guys look like the world's worst Benetton ad." She said.

"This seems like a terrible idea." Artie said and Mr Schuester shook his head. "April is a great singer. And she never graduated."

"We appreciate what you're trying to do, but she's no Rachel." Mercedes said.

"Who's Rachel?" April asked.

"S-She's kinda our star." Tina said. "Your star, eh? Well were is she?"

"She left to be the lead in Cabaret."

Maybe this Time begun to play and she took her sweater off.

"Stick that in your pipe and smoke it." She said.

time skip.

I was at my locker and I saw April come up to me. She smiled and i stood there confused. "Yeah?" She smirked and gave me a canteen and a bag of weed. I looked at her as she put them in my pocket. "I-I don't smoke weed...or drink."

"Sure you don't." She winked and walked away. Do people really think i'm a junkie? I took the stuff out my pocket and into my backpack quickly. I saw Mr Schuester coming down the hall and i shut my locker in a rush. "Hey." I tried acting normal.

"Hey?" He said confused.

"I- I change my mind about April by the way. She can totally stay." I said and he smiled. "That's fantastic, y/n."

the next day.

"Maybe Quinn's just lactose intolerant." Kurt said.

"That doesn't explain the crying." Artie said.

"Are you all that stupid?" Puck asked. "Seriously? I bet you guys thought Bert and Ernie were just roommates. Maybe Quinn's got one in the oven." Puck stood up.

I laughed a bit as I played with my shoe laces. "Who's the baby's daddy?" Mercedes asked.

"Who do you think?" Puck asked. "Finn." He walked out the room and Rachel walked walked in. Kurt looked back at me. "Can you believe this?"

"Yup." I got off my chair and walked next to them. Rachel looked confused. "I just came back to Glee, a little more excitement?"

"Sorry, Glee club just had its first scandal." Kurt said.

"What?"

"Quinn's pregnant. Finns gonna be a dad." I smiled but she didn't seem amused.

that night.

Mr. Schuester clapped. "The house is packed. You guys are going to kick butt tonight. Your first performance in front of a real audience. I can't wait. You guys are going to love it. Where's April."

"Yee-haw!" She came out. "Right on time as usual. Hey Handsome." She waved at Finn. "I like that color." She walked up to Puck. "You have a little something-" She started kissing him. Mr Schue pulled her away. "Are you drunk? You'd promise me you'd sober up for this." He asked.

"When? Last night? I was drunk, you can't hold that on me."

We walked onto stage and the curtains came up.

We finished and everyone clapped and cheered.

time skip.

We were ready for our next performance. We had our blue outfits on. I looked over at Santana. "Who's the smurf now?" I asked and she rolled her eyes.

Mr. Schuester came in. "I was wrong about April." Kurt laughed. "Wh-w-where is she?" Tina smiled.

"She's not in Glee Club anymore. I screwed up bringing her here. It was about me and Glee club is supposed to be about you guys. You don't need her to be great."

"But we need her for the second act." Mercedes said.

"We'll have to cut the show short. Don't worry. They'll be more performances."

"I might have a solution." Rachel came out of no where. "I'll be happy to go on for April if you let me."

"Since when do you want to understudy?" I asked.

"Since i realized being a star doesn't mean as much to me as being your friend does. I know all the words."

"You don't know the choreography." Quinn shrugged.

"Than, we better give her as much help as she needs." Finn smiled.
