Daniel's POV

Day one through 3 was the worst. She was awfully sick. She couldn't breath. She would sleep off and on. She would sweat her ass off. Cry because of being so uncomfortable. Can't hardly eat anything. She was miserable. When it got to 4 the 4th day I noticed she wasn't coughing as much and wasn't sweating as much either. When it got to the 5th day she wasn't fully recovered but she was so much better than she was 4 days ago. I didn't leave for anything. No lie I am scared as hell to get the virus but there's no way I would be able to sleep at night knowing she is unhealthy right now. I can't leave now. I have to stay with her if/when I get exposed. So far I had no symptoms and I pray that it stays that way.

Samantha was finally eating though she still had no sense of smell and taste. "How are you feeling?" Daniel was seated at the table. "I don't know.. confused?" She placed her spoon down in the bowl hearing it clash against the bowl. "If you get tested positive once you leave.... I'll feel awful about it" she told him. "I don't know why. It's my choice to be here. Clearly you wouldn't be able to get around alone. Maybe now but not 4 days ago" he told her. She stood up and took her plate to the sink before washing it out before turning around looking at him who was on now looking at something on his phone. She noticed Daniel has been nothing but help for her during these past few days. Of course she didn't want him to be there because she doesn't want him to get sick. But him being there for her at a moment like this makes it really hard for her to understand what she was truly feeling. "Sam you good?" Daniel noticed her mind was somewhere else. "Yeah.." she walked back over and sat down. "We should both get tested together next week" she suggested with him agreeing.

A week later both of them got tested and the results came back that they were negative. For celebration and for her being healthy again besides her not able to get her sense of smell and taste back yet, they decided to go and grab some sushi. "Excited that we film in 2 weeks?" A smile formed on her face "I'm a little excited and a little nervous at the same time" he was confused as to why she was nervous. "Nervous about what?" She shrugged not really wanting to tell him exactly why but of course Daniel got it out of her. "Sam we don't hide anything from each other just tell me what you are nervous about" he said to her with her sighing. "I don't know... I guess being able to kiss you most likely.. depending on where the writers wants to happen between them will be a little weird" he made a snarl at her " I don't know if I should be offended or not" he told her. " I don't mean for it to be rude. It's just that we have such a strong relationship that I don't want to complicate things" she looked down not wanting to say any more. "We're just friends, right?" Sam slowly nodded. "So kissing shouldn't be awkward. It's only awkward if you have feelings for that person and you're trying to hide it. To the point where you fear that if you kiss that person on screen that your feelings will only grow stronger than they already are" she was silent. "But we don't have to worry about that because we are homies" she forced a smile as she looked down thinking. When they got back to her apartment he made sure to walk her to her door. "Sam?" She unlocked her door before looking at him "yes Daniel?" Her eyes shifted from his eyes down to his lips while her breathing became uneven when she saw him leaning in. Within seconds their lips were connected. Her back was against the door as her hand was caressing his cheek. She reached her hand back on the door knob when her phone rung causing her to pull away. Daniel was a little disappointed that she pulled away. It was Alec calling but she pressed ignore. "Is it over? Daniel asked with her nodding. "Good because you deserve better and I'm not sure if this is too soon to tell you this but I'm in love with you" tears were welling up in her eyes as he spilled his heart out. "I'm in love with your smile, your eyes, your laughter, personality, just everything about you. You don't have to say anything. You don't have to feel the same way at this moment because I know you have a lot going on. Just know that I'll wait for you. You are worth the wait Sam" A tear fell from her eyes. "I just want to give you all of me" he placed his hand against her cheek caressing it. "You're so damn beautiful and I'll remind you every day if I have to" he was melting her heart. "When you're ready I will be more than happy to make you my woman."

She had major Philophobia. There's no way she can love Daniel the way he loves her. She has always dated for fun. She has never been in a true relationship where it was serious. Where she thought about marrying someone and having kids with them. She knew Daniel would be that guy and she just could not face it, she felt extreme anxiety. It scared her to know how deeply in love he is with her to the point where she knew what she had to do. To push the anxiety of knowing how Daniel feels about her to the side, she had to contact Alec. Days later, Alec was at her apartment playing a sample of his new song when there was a knock on the door. "Hold on baby" she got off the couch and walked to the door and answered it with her smile fading away as she saw Daniel standing at the door. He saw Alec and before he could say or do anything Sam stepped out the apartment and closed the door to face Daniel. "Daniel...." Sam trailed off. "Don't Daniel me. So everything's good now, between you too?" She was silent. "So I guess me being there for you when you had Covid meant nothing to you" he told her. "I didn't ask you to be there for me" she looked at him who was disappointed. "I was there for you because I love you! You know I poured my heart out to you, and this is what you do to repay me?" Tears began to well up in her eyes. "I hope you're happy Liv you two deserve each other" she grabbed his arm as he was about to leave. "Daniel please—" he moved his arm back "please what Sam? Please don't fall for me? Please don't say you love me? Please don't wait for me? Well I fell for you. I fell for everything about you. I would give you the world but you're not trying to take it because you want to feel empty inside for I don't even know why but I'm not waiting anymore" a tear fell from her eyes. He slowly wiped it away "see you in a few weeks on set" seeing him walk away broke her heart but it came to realization that it was her own fault. She wiped her tears before going back inside. "You're okay baby?" Alec asked with her breaking down before Alec walked up to her hugging her "I got you baby."
