Trust Has To Be Earned

Samantha stood in front of the mirror with her hand to her mouth as she thought about last night. The flashback ran through her memory. Her eyebrows narrowed as she saw a little mark on her neck. "Fuck.. shit" she rushed to her makeup kit fidgeting with it when there was a knock on her trailer door. "Sam?" Alec called her name from outside of her trailer. "Oh no..." she whispered. "Are you awake?" She was panicking knowing she had to get the hickey covered that Daniel gave her. "Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God..." she whispered as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Babe?" She found foundation and rushed into the bathroom. She started to cover the mark. Guilt was overwhelming her as she finally made her way to the door after coating some foundation over her hickey. She opened the door to find Alec standing at her door with flowers. "Hey baby" he walked up the steps, handing her the flowers before she moved to the side to let him in. "I've missed you so much" he told her. "Alec we need to ta—" he kissing her. Daniel walked in seeing them. She pulled away and eyes widened when she saw Daniel. "Uh sorry for interrupting" he walked out with the door closing behind him. "What was he doing here?" Alec asked her. She slowly sat down. "I don't know....." she trailed off. She was feeling miserable because she knew Daniel was gonna be upset with her for a third time. " Sam I've been a wreck lately... My depression is taking a hold on me and I just need you more than ever. You're the only person that I can trust with my heart and I just need you...to feel better" tears were welling up in her eyes. "I love you Sam" he hugged her with a tear falling from her eyes.

Daniel's POV

I came to Sam'a trailer to see if she wanted to grab breakfast before having a long day of shooting to find her kissing Alexis. Last night must've been a heat in the moment situation I guess. I'm done. I give up. I'm not about to look stupid no more because she doesn't want to leave him. It was hard for me to avoid her since all of my scenes involved our characters in them.

"Here's the script for "Rollin' the Dice" both Daniel and Samantha received it. When they both read "EPIC KISS" they both looked up from the script at each other. Knowing that their characters are getting together made them both happy but it didn't stop Daniel from being upset with Samantha. "Daniel can we please talk?" She whispered between takes. "I have nothing to say Sam" he mumbled. "I didn't kiss him back if that's what you're thinking. He kissed me....." she trailed off. "Did you break up with him?" He looked over at her "well.. no..." she trailed off "exactly" he tried to ignore her but she wasn't allowing it. "Daniel, he made me feel bad—" he cut her off "so fuck how you make me feel by staying with him knowing we both love each other?" She frowned as she felt bad because this is the third time. She had to walk off to get ready for her scene with Daniel. "And action!" Samantha came walking over to the deck where Daniel was seated. He tossed a box letters on the ground. "Damn you showed those letters who's boss" she sat down with him smiling and looking over at her "somebody had to" she was smiling as well before deeply sighing. "We can talk about it.... or not talk about it... whatever you need" she said. "I hoped reading these letters would, uh... I don't know. I hoped it would be like a—" she finished for him "a gift" he thought before saying "yeah...exactly" he said looking at her. "But he's so angry. I mean he blames my moms for everything. Even the choices he made. And..uh.. I don't wanna remember him like that" he told her. She sat closer to him "how many letters have you read?" It felt as if nothing happened between them. They were so dedicated to their characters that he had to put his feelings to the side and she had to as well. "Just one.." he said. "Spencer... of course your dad was angry in his first letter. I mean everything was still fresh. And the dad that you actually got to know had moved past all that. I mean don't you want to know how?" He sighed before looking down. " I just wish he was here to tell me himself" he said. "He is..." she smiled with a nod. "These letters are the gift. There a second chance to get to know your dad in a way that time stole from you" he looked at her. "And whatever's in those letters you're strong enough to handle" he began to give her a smile smile as she did the same in return. She stood up and brushed her hand against his chest before walking off. "And cut!!! Great job guys" the director said. "I think that's it for the night."

Daniel was walking to his trailer but stopped when he saw Sam sitting on the steps. "So you're stalking me now?" He wasn't in the mood to talk after this morning. "You've been avoiding me all day... do I have a choice?" He was silent. "Sam.. what do you want?" She paused before saying "I want you...." he looked at her. "Does Alexis know that?" She was silent. "Exactly.. now if you may excuse me, I want to get inside my trailer—" she cut him off "Daniel.." she stood up to face him. " I know it looked wrong but I promise I did not kiss him. He kissed me and I did not even ask him to show up he just came unannounced. Look... You know where I stand after last night. I know I have to break up with him and I will it's just I need you to trust me" she told him. "Trust has to be earned. Now can I get inside now?" Samantha walked down the steps watching him unlock the door and walk inside. "Goodnight Sam" he said before closing the door. "Night...." she sighed before going to her trailer. Daniel sat in his trailer trying not to think about Sam but it was hard. He turned music on his phone trying to block out his thoughts when it was impossible to do so. Samantha was laying down on the couch thinking. She let out a deep sigh before checking the time on her phone. It was 3am and she couldn't sleep. She sat up rubbing her eyes before sending Daniel a text:

Sam: Are you up?

Dan: No....

Sam: Lol if you weren't up then you wouldn't be responding.. come over 😛

Dan: ....

Sam: Please?

Dan: Why should I?

Sam: Because I want to talk..

Dan: You sure about that?

Sam: Yes

Dan: I'm in bed 🛌

Sam: Then get up

Dan: I can't..

Sam: I know ways to get you up 💦👅

Dan: Sam..💀

Sam: Please come over.. I promise it'll be worth it.

Dan: okay

Samantha was excited as she waited for him. There was a knock on the door and she went over and opened it. "You know ways to get me up, huh?" She giggled "well am I lying?" She walked to the couch. He walked in and shut the door making his way over to sit next to her. "So is this a dick appointment?" She giggled and shook her head. "This is 'I want to cuddle until we fall asleep' appointment" she said to him. He realized she was serious when she leaned against him so he wrapped his arms around her. They laid back on the couch with him holding her. "Are you really gonna break it off?" She could tell the topic has been on his mind since Alec kissed her this morning and her and Daniel have gotten closer than every by having sex. "Yes" she told him. "Promise me..." she shifted her body a little and looked over her shoulder before kissing him softly "I promise...." she trailed off. "I'm not trying to rush you, I just don't like the thought of sharing you" he said to her. Daniel knew Samantha and her character Olivia are so similar minus the substance abuse. She thinks about others before herself. She doesn't want to hurt Alec but she knows hurting Daniel would hurt her the most. She had to make a choice, a decision and she knew she had to make it fast.
