"No! No please! Wake up please!" I say frantically shaking her in my arms. "Don't leave me please! I need you!"
"Come on breathe!"
"She's not waking up!" I say looking up at the one beside me. "This wasn't supposed to happen! Where are they?"
"They're coming."
"She's dying!" I yell and look back at the limp girl in my arms. "Please wake up! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! Please just open your eyes. Open your eyes and I'll know this wasn't for nothing."
"This wasn't supposed to happen."
"What the hell did happen?" I ask and feel myself becoming weak at the sight of the innocent girl I had in my arms.

Haley POV -
I shake my hands again at my sides looking up at the house I had grown up in and had some of my best and worst days in. I feel my heartbeat quicken as if it was possible and feel a nervous sweat roll down my forehead. My stomach does a flip and I think I'm going to be sick by just looking up at the house.
"You're overthinking this again." Elijah says walking up behind me.
"Well it's a lot to think about so naturally overthinking is the reaction."
"I get lost in your train of thought a lot more than I should." He says wrapping his arms around my waist from behind me.
"Yeah that's a good thing because the day you start understanding it is the day I have failed my mission as a female." I say seriously.
"So what am I allowed to understand?"
"That I am only with you because you buy me food and that yellow is a terrible color on me."
"Good to know." he says with humor in his voice as he leans his head over to lightly kiss me on the shoulder.
"Oh my goodness I'm gonna be sick." I say suddenly feeling a wave of nausea.
"Exactly what every guy wants to hear when he's trying to comfort his girlfriend."
"No it's not you. I've been sick for the past couple of days and now I just feel like I wanna puke over everything in my line of vision."
"But I'm standing behind you." he says.
"Well then it is you."
I suck in a breath when he suddenly turns me around so I'm facing him and not the house. I look in his eyes and see a twinkle that I've never seen before. I just keep my face straight and try not to smile at the look he's giving me.
"You are a very rude person." he says quietly.
"Says the guy who just turned me around and almost made me throw up my lunch." I say raising an eyebrow. "It's just humor Elijah don't take it so seriously." I say and push away from him and walk toward the house that's still giving me goosebumps.
"Are you sure you're ready for this? We could just go with Scott's idea and avoid a confrontation with her." He says still not moving from where I left him. "You don't have to do this Haley, not like this."
"Yes I do, if I can't face her now I 'm never going to face her in the future." I say turning back around to face him
"Who says you have to?"
"It's my choice Elijah and I've already made it." I say with a stern tone hoping he gets the message.
"I know, I know. I just hate seeing you like this." he says coming up to me and cupping my face in his hands.
