MEREDITH (ONGOING)

chapter 14 - shotgun

Ever since peter discovered pony had always been in the coffee shop trying to get Red's attention, he has been stalking her. Shadow and his men are the last people peter wants close to red.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Ace asked

"I thought it was a one time thing. Maybe pony wanted coffee and she happened to meet meredith working there, y'know? Peter replied.

"But then she went back again" liam said

"Everyday".peter said. "Hey Theo is still in school. Guess it's time you go pick him up" liam reminded peter who seem to have forgotten his son wasn't home. "Yeah" peter said and ran out of the loft.

"I can't believe he kept that a secret" ace said with disdain.

"It was a one time thing ace, drop it" liam replied. "Ugh" ace groaned. "How about we to meet shadow?" Ace asked

"Why?" Liam asked back

"To warn him to stop stalking meredith" ace replied

"I'm not sure that's a good idea man" liam said. "Peter's not here."

"So? You mean we're nothing without peter? He fucking kept a secret from us liam. If you had seen pony without telling hi m and he found out he wouldn't have taken it likely" ace said with anger.

"Ok chill man. We are a team okay? I'm not saying we are nothing without peter. Have you heard of the word team?"

" Stop your bullshit liam. Get ready we're leaving" ace said.

"Awn c'mon you can't boss me around. You go alone" liam replied. "Oh really?" Ace said, coming close to liam. "You don't want wanna come with me? Really liam?" Ace asked again, this time he was close to Liam's face. Liam could feel a Ace's breath.

"Y'all kissing? Peter asked

"Ace! Liam!" Theo ran towards them, hugging them. "Hey buddy" liam said, rubbing theo's head.

Peter we gotta talk" liam said.

"Alright. Hey buddy, go inside. Daddy will be back in a minute" peter said as theo went inside his room. "What's up" peter asked, raising his eyebrows.

" We want to meet with shadow" ace Said, which made peter fuse his eyebrows more."why?"

" Just warn him to stay away from meredith. We can't just sit back and relax until something happens to her." Liam said.

"Ok. Yea right. But theo can't be alone. Liam you stay here."

"Awn no! I want to go with you guys." Liam said, pouting his lip.

"Let's go ace. " Peter said as he and ace left the loft. Fuckers! Liam muttered.

"Hey liam, could you please help me with my homework? Theo asked. "Yea sure buddy"

Peter and Ace drove parked at the front of shadow's building. "Why the fuck did you park here?" Ace asked." What if there are cameras?"

"Chill man. He can't afford it" peter replied smirking. " Let's go". Peter said as they both got out of the car.

" Why are you here?" Wayne asked. Blocking the entrance into the building.

"Get out the way wayne"

"Not gonna happen. You're in my house" wayne said as he tried to throw a punch at ace. Ace was able to quickly grab his hand and hit his face with his elbow. Wayne staggered, trying to stop the blood coming out of his mouth as he spat blood on the floor. "You came here for a fight huh?" Asked asked, making his way to attack ace again when Shadow stopped him.

"Surprise" shadow said smirking. "Let's talj inside, shall we? Shadow said, mimicking bowing them to them as he showed them the way. They all got in as they settled down.

"What would you live to drink?" Shadow asked. Liam and ace knew shadow didn't mean anything he said. He was only trying to mock them.

"We're here because of meredith" peter said

" Ah I don't have the girl as you can see" shadow said, wiping sweats on his forehead. "Bad timing I guess"

"Leave her alone" ace said

"I wish I could" shadow replied. "Now if you don't mind, let's have a drink and forget about meredith. Shall we my friends?". Peter immediately stood up from the couch he was sitting on, running towards shadow, he wrapped his hands around Shadow neck. " Tell me where she is" peter said, gritting his teeth. Shadow raised his hands in the air, mocking a surrender and laughing evily and he raised his glass of wine to Peter's face. " Now shall we?" Shadow asked again as peter punched him on the face causing his drink to spill on the floor as he loses his balance.

"Okay we're doing this the hard way" shadow said, adjusting his shirt as ace pushed him across the desk as the both fell on the ground. Shadow got up before ace could and hit his against on the desk, making ace unconscious. Peter and shadow pointed guns at each other's head at the same time.
