chapter 20- Bitter

grr grr" the alarm rang as red tried to put it off with sleepy eyes. Monday is finally here as red quickly checked the screen of her phone to check the time. She quickly got out the bed and headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She looked at herself in the bathroom room mirror and felt empty. She suddenly remembered the burial. How did mrs norman find her? She tried to shake it off and quickly brushed her teeth, bathe and left for work. She didn't bother making breakfast, her problem were too full to make her feel her empty stomach. She stopped a cab and headed to the coffee shop. Hopefully she gets there on time and avoid benny's wrath on a Monday morning. She kept glancing on her phone to check the time. The cab stopped at the front of the shop as she pays the driver and quickly got out of the car. She shook her hands inside her bag to get the keys but she noticed the the lock has been broken. She looked around to see if anyone was following her but she didn't see anyone. Her hands were trembling. First it was pony then mrs norman, now who could this be? A dropped of tear escaped from her eyes as she uses the back of her hand to wipe it off. She opened the door with her trembling hands. She noticed a human figure that looked like a man's.

"Hello?" Red tried to speak but the tiny sound that came out from her lips didn't help. She decided to go further. She made her steps slow and quiet but they weren't steady, her legs were trembling. "Hello?" She repeated but thus time her voice was louder. The person dropped his coffee cup and turned around to face meredith.

"Hello meredith" he smirked

"Ace?God you scared me" meredith said as she puts her hands on her chest to feel it beating fast.

"I'm sorry"

"Why did you break the lock?"

"I was hungry and I couldn't wait so I decided to get in and make myself a cup of coffee" ace smirked. Red stared at him for minutes before her senses came back to her. "I'm calling the police" red said as she brought out her phone but ace quickly snatched it from her. Red tried to get it back as ace raised his hands higher know that red could reach him. Red struggled and tried to  jumped as she stepped on ace shoe with force. "Fuck" ace groaned and grabbed his feet.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do that" red apologized. She got on her knees and tried to take off his shoe as the exit door opened.

"Oh my- did I interrupt anything?" Benny asked smirking.

"No" red and ace said at once. Benny cleared her throat and went to the counter.

"Please leave"

"I haven't paid for my coffee yet and I'm not leaving till I tell you what I came here for" ace replied.

Red doesn't want to draw attention as she agreed to hear ace out. "Fine. Speak" she said as she folded her arm, looking out the window.

"Privately"

"Ace this is my work place. I can't just leave when I want to okay? You came here to talk so talk. I've had enough of you and your stupid group already. Just leave me alone please" red yelled. She didn't realize she is crying until she felt burning liquids on her cheek. She quickly wiped it off before benny sees it.

"I'm sorry. We need your help" ace said with a poker face.

"What? You think I'll agree to help you after pony killed Chris? You know what now I know everything. Liam was there at that moment. Everything seemed so planned. Pony hit our car and liam immediately coming to help. He purposely chose to rescue and and left chris behind. Now I wanna know. Where is his body?"

"What are you talking about?" Ace asked with a frown on his face.

"Oh ace don't play dumb" meredith said with hatred in her voice. "You guys plan to take me and hid chris body. I wanna know where it is?"

"Meredith I don't know what you're talking about" ace said hoping to convince her

Red took some steps back ." Find his body and bring him to me. Now leave".

Ace didn't bother to argue cause he could see the hurt in her eyes. He nodded and looked at her again before leaving. As soon as he left, she took a deep breath and quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. Luckily for her, she rushed to the toilet and quickly put some make up on before attending to customers. She got out of the toilet and put on her apron.

" I'll take your orders ma'am" red said, pulling her pen and book out as she smiled at the customer as if nothing happened.
