Raven and Beast boy

Chapter 5

Episode 39 (Beast boy)

"I can't believe he's leaving" I sight. I'm pissed, I just want to get out of here, my room feels so small. I'm never enough for anybody, I was not enough for Raven to even try, I wasn't enough for Terra to stay and I'm not even enough for Cyborg. I get up and go to the roof to try to calm my thoughts.

Whether it's so nice it bothers me, it should be a thunderstorm outside, not this sunny. The sky is full of birds, I love seeing them fly. If I'd fly away right now no one would care, and why would they, I'm neither smart nor good looking, my powers aren't the best either and I'm green. Maybe I could just transform into a bird and join a flock.

My head is dizzy, and I don't know what to do, I feel, alone.

"Do you want me to show you a great place?" I hear Raven behind me. And as she is getting closer, I can feel a sensation of calmness starting to flow through my body.

"You are changing my mood" I say, I don't like it when she does that.

"I'm sorry,  sometimes I do things without really thinking about it, I just wanted you to feel better and... I'm sorry, sometimes, in these situations..." she tries to explain.

"It's fine, I get it". Sometimes it happens to me too, sometimes animal instincts mess with my head without even realizing it.

"He just wants to do something for himself, he doesn't like them better, you are his best friend you know that?" she says, and she is right, she always says the right thing, but he has been gone for two weeks now, and we barely talked, yet still, the anger it's almost gone. Sometimes I wish we were normal people, that don't have to be worried about losing control all of the time.

"You wanted to show me something?" I ask.

"Yeah, but it's my place, so you have to promise not to show to anybody"

"Yeah, I swear on all of the tofu of the world" I say, and I could swear she smiled. I'm already feeling so much better, I know she didn't alter my mood, or did she? No, she didn't, it feels different when she does.

"Ok let's go, we are flying" she says and starts going so I transform into a raven to amuse her.

After 10 minutes I see Raven finally go down and I'm relieved, keeping up with her as a raven isn't easy.

"Finally!" I say as I transform again. This is... Awesome, it's a small island full of trees and there is a waterfall and all, amazing. You can even see the tower far away.

"Do you like it?" she asks and starts walking.

"Yes, it's nice" I say while I follow her.

She sits on some kind of bench made from a fallen tree, I think it fell on its own, but then again, maybe Raven just pulled it out herself.

"When things get out of control I like to come here to relax" she explains. It's funny the image of her surrounded by forest animals just "relaxing".

"I never thought you were into nature" I say as I sit by her side.

"I am not, but there are no people around and you can do whatever you want" she says while looking at the waterfall.

We stay in silent for a while just enjoying the nature, at least that's what I'm doing. She just has a way of calming me down that feels nice. I hate that I can't do that for her too, I can't always understand exactly what she's going through.

"I'm already feeling better, thanks Raven, you are amazing" I say and sit closer to her so our hands are touching, I can feel my cheeks go red when she gets up in one jump.

"Titans, it's Cyborg, hurry up" Robin voice is coming from both our communicators.
