Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo (Beast boy)

All the way back home I was thinking about the perfect date with Raven. Until now she never agreed to go with me on an official date, it always sort of happened, so this one needs to be a little special but I'm not sure about what I should do.

We could go to the café she likes, or maybe I could make a picnic in her island, or maybe a movie, so many options yet none seems perfect enough. Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on this. I should just do something we are both comfortable with.

I finally decided we should go to the coffee place and then bring a pizza home and eat it on the rooftop, something easy for our first real date. I don't know why I'm so nervous, I mean we've been out before, but it feels like we are for real this time. Does she expect me to ask her to be my girlfriend? Should I? I mean she sure doesn't like that type of thing but maybe she expects it. No, she doesn't, she likes the way things are, breezy, I'm not always breezy but she doesn't know that, I hope, she may sense it. Okay I'm sweating again.

We got home at noon and we are supposed to meet at six at the front door. I only hope there is no trouble in the city before. I need to let something ready on the rooftop first because by the time we will be back it will be dark outside and there is not enough light up there. I end up making a little basket with sodas, some blankets and white Christmas lights since it is the only thing on the tower besides candles that might work. I mean the candles would be more romantic but I'm not sure she enjoys that much cheesiness.

It's almost time to go down but I'm feeling so nervous, why I'm feeling so nervous, is Raven, we've done this before. I'm just afraid I'm going to mess things up. All these feelings keep piling up, until I get down and I see her, she's just standing there but the moment she sees me she smiles at me and I can feel all the weird feelings just float away.

"Hey," I say as I approach her.

"Hey," she says back. She seems to be in a very good mood. "Since you are dressed in normal clothes, I should fly us there, right?"

"Oh, yeah, that would be great," I say as I scratch the back of my head. "You look great by the way" I say as she is already flying us there.

When we got there, we get the same table we got the first time we came here.

"You know I thought this would be weirder," she says while holding a cup of tea in her hands.

"I was kind of nervous too, and I know is stupid because we've done this a million times but, I don't know." I try to explain.

"You are great Gar, really, I know I can be so hard to understand sometimes but you always try your best and you always make me feel better," she says and reaches out to hold my hand. All this time and I still blush every time she holds my hand.

"You make me feel better all of the time, so I'm really glad I can do the same," I say back.

We had the best time at the café but now I'm getting nervous again, because she doesn't know about the rooftop yet and we'll be alone.

"So, Gar, you never told me where you want us to go with this pizza," she says as she hands me the pizza box.

"Well, if you could fly us to the rooftop of the tower that'd be nice," I say and I smile wide at her. She smirks back at me.

"Are you sure?" she says as we are already flying, "we won't see much."

"Don't worry about it, I got it covered. Do you have the best boyfriend or what?" I ask and I immediately regret it. I can just feel us both get tense and I'm no empath. "I... I mean. I know we haven't talked about that. I didn't ask, I just... It slipped out. Sorry" I think she is about to throw me off into the sea but instead she just laughs.

"It's fine. I know we haven't talked about it, but I guess it's just given. Don't you?"

"Yeas, but I don't want to freak you out again," I explain to her.

"Look I know I was weird about all of this in the past but I'm better now, really," she says and smiles at me.

"I'm not used to you being so... I don't even have a word for it," I say as we get to the rooftop.

"Garfield, this is amazing," she says while looking at the lights, "You are amazing."

I put the pizza box on the blanket. The breeze is so nice, the air smells like the sea and is still warm. Raven gets closer to me and wraps her arms around my neck, so I wrap mine on her waist. She leans in and kisses my lips softly, but I've missed this so much that I press her against me and kiss her harder. She runs her hand through my hair, and I move my hand to cherish her chin. I'm starting to feel dizzy when she pulls away.

"You know, the pizza is getting cold," she says while she still has her arms around my neck.

"I don't really mind cold pizza" I say, and I kiss her again. In this moment I realize how doomed I am, I love her, I'm in love with her.

"I think I'm... I... I really like you Garfield, a lot," she says and kisses me again.
