Jane POV: I hear laughter and look up to see Anna and Kitty walk in chatting. Kitty runs off to put her stuff upstairs and Anna walks into the living room where we all were.
"It looks great guys!" She says and Anne smiles, looking at Lina.
"She's talking about the decorations you dork" Lina whispers.
"What'd I miss?"
"They're a couple now" Cathy chuckles and Anna nods.
"Hey guys!"
"Happy birthday Kitty!"

Later that night

Anne POV: I lay awake thinking. Lina...the kiss. Ugh I'm so in love with her! I get out of bed and tiptoe down the hall. Kitty was a light sleeper and if she woke up she'd get scared and if she got scared Anna and Jane would wake up and if Jane woke up then Cathy was awake too and all the hubbub would wake Lina and she HATES being woken up. But around now she'd just be finishing with her evening prayers. Just as I go to knock on her door she opens it.
"Oh. Hey. I was just about to come talk to you" she says and I smile a little.
"So Um... what does this mean? For us?"
"Well I umm... I like you. Like a lot" she says and I smile.
"I like you a lot too"
"So um... girlfriends?" She asks and I nod.
"I'd love that" I whisper and she smiles.
"Cuddles?"

A few days later

Anna POV: "Now remember. Kitty needs to eat balanced meals. Not just takeout all the time. She also needs to get enough sleep or else she'll be grouchy"
"Yep. And also she needs her blanket and teddy. Do you have your blanket Anna? You know how you get if you don't have something to ground you"
"And do you have your medicine for your anxiety?" Jane, Cathy and Lina were going Mom- big sister in Cathy's case- friend on me. I'd only just gotten diagnosed with anxiety and they were doing everything to look after me. Which was nice.
"Yeah. Got everything. Now we gotta go if we wanna get there in time"
"Right. Right. Okay let's go" Jane says, grabbing the car keys and walking out. She'd just gotten her licence and was the best driver out of all of us. So now we had a car. That asshole of a invisible force left it outside. I wish I could meet whoever was doing this so I could punch them for making Kitty cry. She'd gotten another taunting note and it was horrible. It was saying nobody would ever truly love her and that she was worthless and stupid and ugh. I love her! She's so incredible and intelligent and one of the kindest people I've ever met! Jane drives us to the airport and I put our stuff on a luggage cart and then help Kitty sit on top. We get through check in and head up to security. And then the first problem happens. The metal detector beeps when Kitty walks through. She immediately goes pale and starts to tear up when the TSA guy steps forward to try and check her.
"Hey you can't check her. She just forgot to take off her choker that's all. And she's under 18. The law says you're not allowed to without consent from a parent or guardian and I'm her guardian and I say no" I say as they attempt to make her stand in the position to check her.
"Sorry ma'am but we have to"
"You're not allowed. You're a man"
"And?"
"By law it has to be a woman that checks her" I did my research. Just in case this happened.
"Come on dude just let them go!" Someone yells and the guy sighs, shoving Kitty towards me.
"Go on then. Little shits" I grab our carry on stuff and gently lead Kitty to our gate.
"It's okay. You're safe. Wanna get some McDonald's and then candy on the plane now that Jane isn't here to stop us?" I say and she nods, hugging me.
"Thanks for making him stop"
"I'll do everything I can to keep you safe okay? You're my best friend" I hug her and she sighs softly, starting to smile a little. We get our snacks and drinks and wait for our gate to open. Just a few more minutes left.
