Alice Meyers stood in the summer heat at the entrance of a large facility along with four other college aged students, her being 19. The sign above the door read, 'Center of Understanding the Paranormal' which was quite a lot to say, so people usually just called it the C.U.P. The Cup. People usually tried to avoid talking about this place, it always felt like something shady was going on. And yet here she was, standing outside of it's tall, iron gates, waiting to be let in with a heavy bag on her shoulder. She was there because she had seen a flyer posted on a bulletin board in her college, advertising an opportunity to be part of an experiment at the C.U.P. It was posted because the facility had apparently found some old animatronics from the Infamous Freddy FazBear's Pizza, an old restaurant that had used animatronics to entertain children.
It was considered infamous of course, because quite a few children went missing there over the years, supposedly murdered by one of the employees and stuffed into the animatronics. It was rumoured that the souls of the missing children possessed the animatronics and made them move around at night. Of course, once the C.U.P was founded and heard about these rumours, they immediately began searching for anything that was left of the old animatronics.
In the end, after several years of searching, they managed to find the original 4 animatronics, and apparently, the murderer himself. He had supposedly been crushed to death when the springlocks failed in the very suit that he had used to lure the children away to kill them. It then turned out that the animatronics were very much alive, although they had forgotten their real names, but they seemed to be able to interact as somewhat normal humans. The flyer had said that the C.U.P were looking for students with mid to low grades for an opportunity to do some extra work for them to gain experience. Alice had always found the murders very fascinating for some reason, so of course she jumped at the opportunity as soon as she saw it. Luckily, she was able to get one of the five spots.
After a whole fuckton of exposition the gates finally creaked open and they were allowed inside. Once in the building they were greeted by a thin older woman with brown hair, "Hello there dears, I am Mrs. Wilson and I'm going to be your guide for the time you are staying here." She said in a sweet, southern accent, "You'll be coming here for the next month to interact with the spirits of the animatronics. Today we'll be giving you a little questionnaire to figure out which of them would be best for each of your personalities. After completing it you'll be assigned either Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, or Springtrap when we meet up in the main office tomorrow." Suddenly, a short girl with blue hair spoke up, "Wait, is Springtrap the murder one?"
"Yes, he is." Mrs.Wilson replied. A murmur of concern rippled through the gathered students. A boy raised his hand, "So does that mean that one of us will have to be in the same room as a murderer!?"
"Well, yes," Mrs. Wilson hesitated, "But we aren't judging people here for any past mistakes they may have made. We also have special cuffs on all the animatronics that can administer a controlled shock which render them momentarily stunned. So if it ever seems unsafe, we have a way to safely remove you from the situation."
They were all handed the questionnaires and pencils to fill them out. It was just standard personality questions. Alice thought it was a bit disturbing that Springtrap was included in the mix, but she was confident that she wouldn't get him. There was absolutely no way that she'd get the murderer. They finished the questionnaires and were finally escorted to the rooms they'd be staying in for the next month.
