Springtrap didn't leave out any gruesome detail as he described the murders. He seemed to enjoy telling her all about how he murdered each child, and it made Alice feel sick. She had to resist the urge to throw up several times, but she managed to keep quiet for the entire time that he was talking.
After what felt like hours, Springtrap finally finished talking, and they sat there in silence. Alice broke the silence, "I think the storm is over." She said.
Springtrap listened for a moment, "Yeah, seems like it." He sighed, "Thanks for listening to me. I feel a bit better."
Alice got up from her chair and stretched, "Uh, you're welcome." She was definitely going to have nightmares that night, "How long has it been?" She yawned. Before Springtrap could answer, the sound of approaching footsteps could be heard. Alice turned around just in time to see a guard shining his light through the door. He was holding a brown paper bag, "I've brought dinner. It's the same thing as what you had for lunch." He said, sounding bored.
"Dinner already?" Alice exclaimed, suddenly realizing how hungry she was. As she took the bag from the guard and listened to his fading footsteps, she wondered how so much time had passed without her noticing.
She finished her dinner quickly as Springtrap continued to lay on the couch, seeming to be just staring at the ceiling. Picking up the tiny lantern, which she had moved to the coffee table to eat her dinner by its light, Alice made her way over to where her mangled sketchbook was leaning against a wall. She picked it up, sighing as a couple of pages fell out and drifted to the floor, and then walked back over to the table. She sat down on the opposite side from where he was, and opened the book. Flipping through the pages, she realized the drawing she had made for him was missing, "Where is the drawing I did of you?" She asked.
Springtrap shrugged, "I dunno. Probably fell out and got ripped up or something." He mumbled.
"Are you saying you ripped it up?" Alice asked.
"No, I'm saying that it seems to have just gone missing, so you probably shouldn't keep asking annoying questions about it." He growled.
Alice sighed, "Ok then..." She flipped to a clean page and began to doodle. She wasn't sure what to draw, so she decided to just draw some flowers.
After only a few minutes of sketching, her lantern suddenly flickered and went out. Alice heard Springtrap get up, "What just happened?" He asked.
"I think the battery in the lantern died. I completely forgot to try and save it." she said, closing her sketchbook in disappointment.
Springtrap laughed, "Must've been a pretty crappy battery then. What are you gonna do?" He asked.
Alice shrugged, "Just sit here in complete darkness I guess."
"Well, since you can't see anything, I would like to reassure you by confirming that you are in danger, and that you will probably not make it out alive." Springtrap said in a joking tone.
Alice knew that despite him joking, there certainly was some truth to what he said. She decided to go along with the joke though, "Wow, thanks. It really helps to hear you say that." She said sarcastically.
Springtrap chuckled, "You're quite welcome."
However, after sitting on the floor for so long, her tailbone was really beginning to hurt again, even though it had begun to feel a bit better, "Uhm," She began nervously, "Could you maybe help me get to one of the chairs?" she asked.
"Huh? Why can'tcha sit on the floor?" Springtrap asked.
"My tailbone is starting to really hurt..." She mumbled awkwardly.
Springtrap paused, "Oh..." He said after a moment.
Alice heard him get up from where he was sitting on the couch, and as he walked around the table to get to her, she turned her head to follow the sound of his footsteps, "Hey stop that," Springtrap said, "It's like you're watching me, even though I know you're not."
Alice laughed, "Or am I?" She said ominously. She felt Springtraps foot tap her side in a playful kick, "Quite being creepy, that's my job." He laughed, "Here, stand up." He said, and Alice felt him gently grab onto her arm. She winced as she stood up, and let Springtrap carefully guide her to one of the chairs.
Once Alice sat down, she yawned, suddenly feeling tired, "Oh man, I just realized I'm gonna have to sleep in here." She said, terrified of the thought of trying to sleep with Springtrap nearby.
Springtrap's voice sounded from the couch, "Well you could always just try and stay up all night." He replied.
Suddenly, a question popped into her head, "Do you need to sleep?" She asked into the darkness where she thought Springtrap was.
"I don't need to, but sometimes I do anyways just to pass the time. It gets pretty boring in here." He said, getting up and walking to what sounded like the other side of the coffee table.
"Yeah, it definitely gets boring in here," She said, then she heard the rustling of paper, "What are you doing?" She asked nervously.
"I'm just looking through your sketchbook. Why do you draw so many ugly flowers?" He said.
"I draw flowers because I like them, and didn't you already go through my sketchbook when I left it here last night?" She replied.
"Nah, I just threw it at the wall and then covered it with tape." He said with a chuckle.
"And also covered yourself with tape." Alice added jokingly.
"I do not need to be reminded of that. It was the stupid tape dispensers fault anyways." He grumbled.
Alice got an idea, "You could try drawing something in there if you think my drawings are so ugly." She said.
"You know what? I think I will." Springtrap replied, and Alice heard him flip through the pages to what she hoped was a blank page. She curled up in the chair, feeling exhausted, and listened to the sound of the pencil gliding over the paper as Springtrap drew something. Alice briefly hoped that she wouldn't accidentally fall asleep.
