As Alice made her way through the dark corridors, the scream continued to echo through the building every couple of minutes, guiding her to the source. The entire building was strangely cold. She was getting thoroughly lost, but it was definitely too late to turn back now. She wasn't even sure how to get back, all the halls looked exactly the same.
She was about to turn onto another hall, when suddenly, she heard the scream come from right around the corner. Alice quickly stopped moving and turned off her phone's flashlight, not quite sure what she was hiding from. She could hear angry sounding voices, and could see a faint light coming from that hall. Holding her breath, Alice quickly peeked around the corner. Someone was holding a dim light, and there seemed to be what looked like one of the hospital beds that have the wheels on them. There were three people standing around the bed in total, and they were whispering furiously at each other, but she couldn't quite make out what they were saying.
Suddenly, a pained groan came from the bed, and Alice realized that there seemed to be someone strapped down to it.
"Ugh, put another one." She heard one of the voices say, followed by the sound of metal clinking. Then she heard what sounded like something being stabbed into flesh, and something dripping onto the floor.
Alice cringed at the sound, and ducked back behind the corner as the person whimpered in pain. She had noticed the screams getting weaker, but she thought it had been just because it was getting further away. There was a beep, and Alice realized it was the same beep as the one she heard when Mrs. Wilson unlocked Springtrap's door for her.
She peeked around the corner again, and saw the people wheeling the bed into a restricted area. The door was closing slowly and quietly behind them, and before Alice even realized what she was doing, she was holding the door open, waiting for them to get farther away so that she could follow after them. What was she thinking!? This was the dumbest thing she'd ever done in her life!
Alice snuck through the door, and followed after them. They went into another room, and closed the door. Alice slipped into a room beside the one they went into, hoping to listen through the wall. Inside the room were several file cabinets, and a desk with a computer monitor on it. The computer was off, but sitting on top of the keyboard was a file labeled 'Top Secret'.
Out of curiosity, and figuring she had already come this far, Alice walked over to the desk and picked up the papers. Opening it, she skimmed over what it said, and suddenly felt a chill run down her spine. It couldn't be true, there was no way. The contents of the file talked about the C.U.P's trouble with not being able to find enough paranormal objects to justify the space they were using. To avoid losing their progress, they began kidnapping homeless people, and killing them in tortuous ways in an attempt to make their own paranormal objects.
Alice flipped through the papers, and almost threw up as she came upon some graphic photos of the facility's "experiments". That, along with the weak, painfilled, screams coming from the other room, made her blood freeze. She began hyperventilating. She had to get out of there.
Alice stumbled back out into the hall, and quickly made her way to the door she had followed the people through to get there. She didn't bother to even see if it was locked, but instead just pushed through it anyways. It opened easily, but suddenly an alarm began to ring somewhere in the building, and red lights began flashing all throughout the halls. Alice ran through the building as quietly as she could, not bothering to use her phone, and instead using the flashing red lights as her only guide through the horrible maze she seemed to be trapped in.
By some miracle, she managed to reach her room. Alice quickly stumbled inside and locked the door, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps. She staggered over to her bed, and curled up under the covers in fear, her head spinned and her heart racing. What had she been thinking!?
She had to calm down and try to think rationally. Her thoughts were jumbled, and she suddenly realized that there were tears streaming down her face. Alice took a deep breath and tried to rationalize what had just happened. The C.U.P was murdering people to use as paranormal objects for their research. She had set off an alarm, and probably witnessed one of their murders. Her breath began quickening again. No, no, she was ok. No one had seen her, and they had no way to know it was her. It could have been anyone, she just had to pretend like she hadn't seen anything until she could get out of there. Alice let out a sob and curled into an even tighter ball. What had she done?
The rest of the night dragged on in slow motion. At one point someone had knocked on her door, but she just pretended to be asleep, and eventually they went away. She only managed to get a tiny bit of sleep that, as she listened to heavy footsteps echoing through the halls outside, probably looking for her.
Springtrap was suddenly woken up by a ringing alarm, "Ugh, what the hell happened this time?" He muttered angrily, sitting up and glaring at the red flashing lights in the hall. He noticed that the bits of broken chair had been removed from his room while he had been asleep, "Jeez, they can hardly even do their jobs right." He grumbled, noticing that the legs of the chair were still bolted to the ground, becoming just some random sticks attached to the floor. Springtrap huffed in annoyance, laid back down on the couch, and covered his ears to try and go back to sleep, despite the annoying alarm.
