"Well, isn't that interesting." Springtrap suddenly spoke, breaking the silence and startling Alice, "Uh, yeah..." She mumbled, her voice quivering. This was the worst thing that could have possibly happened right now. Her heart was pounding, her hands were shaking, she couldn't see anything, and she was locked in a room with a murderer. Springtrap spoke again, "Ugh, you didn't even get all the tape."
"I'm sorry!" She suddenly shouted, panicking for some reason.
"You don't have to yell, I'm right beside you. Quit freaking out, it's annoying." He said in annoyance.
"S-sorry, but I think if you were in my situation you'd be a little panicked to! I can't see anything and I'm trapped in a room with a creepy possessed murder robot!" Alice said, scooting a little bit away from where she thought Springtrap was. There was a pause, "Wait, you can't see anything?" He asked.
"You can?" Alice said in surprise.
"Of course I can. So it's just pitch black for you?"
"...Yeah...." Alice replied nervously.
"Haha! Man, it would suck to be you right now! You probably can't even tell where I am!" He paused for a moment and she heard some movement, "I could be right beside you." He suddenly whispered, his voice right beside her face. Alice flinched and leaned away a bit, "I can still tell where you are if I can hear you, ya' know." She said, trying not to show how much that had spooked her.
Springtrap sighed, and she heard him go back to where he had been, "Well, if I hadn't said anything, you would've had no idea." He said.
"Maybe." She replied, then she suddenly sat up straight. There were footsteps heading towards the room, and suddenly a light shone through the metal bars on the door, and she heard the familiar voice of Mrs. Wilson, "Alice? Are you ok?" She called into the room. With the help of the light shining through the door Alice was able to get up and make her way towards it, "I'm here, I'm ok." She replied.
Mrs. Wilson sighed with relief, "That's good, I was worried something bad would happen. I'm going around passing out these little lanterns that we found. Come get one." Alice reached the door and took one of the small lanterns. It hardly provided any light, but it was better than nothing, "How long is the power going to be out?" She asked nervously.
Mrs. Wilson sighed, "It seems like we won't be able to get the power back on until at least tomorrow morning. We're working on getting together some lunches that will be dropped off to you soon. Also, these lanterns don't have much power, so you might want to try and save it." She explained.
"Jeez, that's not good." Alice replied, a hint of worry apparent in her voice.
"Don't worry dear, I'm sure you'll be fine. You have your sketchbook and pencils in there right? Drawing could help you pass the time." Mrs. Wilson said encouragingly. Alice shook her head, "No, Springtrap broke the sketchbook." She sighed. Suddenly Springtrap spoke from right behind her, causing her to jump, "Hey! I tried to fix it!" He said, sounding offended. Alice glanced behind her and saw that Springtrap was, in fact, right behind her. She once again felt intimidated at how much he towered over her.
Once Mrs. Wilson left and Alice was left alone with Springtrap again, she dared to turn around and face him, "Why the heck did you have to creep up behind me like that!" She exclaimed.
Springtrap grinned, "So you didn't hear me moving?" He chuckled.
"Well, that doesn't matter anymore because I have this lantern now." Alice replied, somehow sounding more confident than she felt.
"Oh please," Springtrap scoffed, "You can't even see 3 feet away with that thing!"
"It's better than not being able to see anything." She said, feeling defensive of her tiny lantern.
Springtrap held out his hand to her, "Well since you can see now, work on taking off the rest of this tape. This shit is annoying." He grumbled.
Alice glared at him, "Maybe if you ask nicely and quit being such a jerk."
Springtrap crossed his arms and glared at her, "Fine. Could you please take off the rest of the tape. Also, I am not a jerk. You have a piece of tape in your hair, and would someone that is a jerk point that out to you? I don't think so." He said indignantly. Alice reached up and pulled a piece of tape out of her hair, "Seriously? I had tape in my hair this whole time and now you tell me?" She grabbed Springtraps hand and began walking towards the couch, "Let's sit over here, the floor is hard." She said, holding her tiny lantern out in front of her so that she didn't run into anything. Springtrap chuckled, "Wow. Thank you so much for pointing out that the floor is hard. I never would've noticed if you hadn't." He said sarcastically. Alice sighed and decided to just ignore him.
They sat down and Alice began removing the rest of tape by the dim light of her tiny lantern, "How did you even get so much tape on you!?" She exclaimed. Springtrap looked away in embarrassment, "The tape dispenser was not cooperating with me, so I tried to fight it." He muttered.
"Well it looks like the tape dispenser won." Alice said, actually laughing out loud for maybe even the first time since she left home.
