"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Melody and Maya Happy Birthday to you."
My brother and Jacobe started beating on the table and beatboxing. "Happy Birthday day to ya." Breaking out into the very famous soul rendition of happy birthday for my babies and they loved every minute of it as the stared at their uncles acting a complete fool.

Eventually Ryan joined in and the girls got even more excited clapping their hands and screaming "dance daddy". After they finished we gave each if them their smash cakes.
Melody looked at in disgust poking at the butter cream frosting.
Maya on the other hand leaned forward and put her whole face in the cake causing her to giggle hysterically.
My babies were polar opposites which is cute at moments like this but when it was two different bedtimes, feeding schedules and eating habits it can get exhausting.
I took a cloth and wiped the frosting off of Melody's face as she continued to giggle. I looked around at my parents backyard at their new home as kids ran around and played in the bounce house, got their faces painted or even went over to the petting zoo and the adults socialize in different areas. I know it may seem like a lot for a kids 2nd birthday party that they won't remember but I want my babies to have fun no matter what.
