It's been a few weeks since The Winters both had their individual indiscretions. The vibe between the two has been copacetic but nowhere near how good it was. Today is their anniversary and neither of them went out of their way to arrange anything over the top or spectacular. Kelis wasn't expecting anything big from Ryan nor was Ryan thinking Kelis had anything planned for them. Kelis didn't want today to go in vein so yesterday she scrambled and put something together.
"Hey Ry...I made reservations at Bottega Louie in Malibu for 7 pm. I had to pull some strings and give the manager some dodgers tickets." Ryan looked up from his bowl of cereal and his book nodding his head looking back down. "I've heard of that restaurant. That sounds nice." Kelis cracked a smile as she finished packing up the kids lunches for school.
"Want me to come with you to drop the kids off?" She asked Ryan as he looked back up at her nodding his head. Ryan noticed his wife moving around more carefully. The past few weeks they both are moving around like they just met. They are both nervous the other will say something.
"Eat a couple more spoons of cereal so we can get going." Ryan stood up and grabbed everyone's bowl once they were done. "I don't want to go to pre-k today momma it's boring." RJ pouted furrowed his eyebrows together. "You have to go to pre-k RJ. So you can learn more about numbers and letters, play with your friends like Jason, Kami, Henry...-"
"I know that stuff momma and I don't like Henry, he smells like poop." Ryan turned around with quickness so he wouldn't laugh in front of RJ as the girls just busted out laughing causing RJ to giggle. I sided eyed the girls and they stopped laughing immediately. "RJ that's not nice. Henry is becoming a big boy. Just because you got potty trained earlier doesn't mean you can be mean to him. You have to be kind." RJ nodded his head as I kissed his forehead. "Okay crew let's roll out." Ryan grabbed all their bags as we walked out of the house.

After drop off Ryan and Kelis came back home as they both had taken this time off months ago to take a trip but with all the turmoil and busy schedules neither got around to it. Even with what Kelis did Ryan still felt like utter shit for stooping to that level. For the sake of not disrupting both their lives completely Ryan just decided to let everything go and move on.
He watched as she sat by the pool with a book and her favorite coffee mug. Ryan sighed deeply walking out on the balcony. "Hey."
She looked up from her book with a slightly smile. "Hey."
"I know you want something new to wear tonight so let's go shopping." She nodded her head and gathered her things walking back into house.
~~~~~
After almost two hours they were still shopping. It went from one outfit to a shopping spree. They went up and down Rodeo Drive and now they are now in the Jewelry store getting their rings cleaned. She was marveling over the rings but hers was upgraded by Ryan two years ago from her original engagement ring which was 2.2 Karat to an almost 7 Karat diamond ring.
