My eyes shot open quickly as I looked over at Maya seeing her peacefully sleeping alongside Melody. I sat up stretching looking towards the door seeing Dr. Bonnie talking to Ryan. I wonder when he got here.
I cleared my throat as everyone looked in my direction. "Good morning babe." I stood up as Ryan came over kissing me on the cheek. "Is everything okay with Maya?"
Ryan's eyes were red and puffy. He had been crying. "Yes everything is fine Ms.Jergens just discussing what we already talked about. The operation is still scheduled for today at 5pm and chemotherapy will begin tomorrow."
"And the dietitian will be by during the surgery correct?" I grabbed my notebook I had everything written down in it pertaining to Maya.
She nodded her head. "Yes she'll be by to discuss what'll be best for Maya to eat during chemotherapy. I'll leave you in the hands of the nurses and breakfast will be here soon for the whole family." We said our thank you's as the doctor walked out.
"How are you feeling?" Right now I had zero energy to argue or even discuss with Ryan about yesterday. "Numb. Distraught." Ryan nodded his head grabbing my hands. "I'm sorry about yesterday baby. I should've been here. Im so so sorry." He kissed my forehead and all I did was nod my head. "Let's just get the girls up and ready."
I dropped his hands as we walked over to the twins. We leaned down kissing both their cheeks. "Good morning my sweet angels."

"Im happy you both are here it's just been so hard." I gave my dad a hug resting my head on chest as he gave me a bear hug. "It's going to be okay baby girl." My dad smoothed down my hair as my mom rubbed my shoulders. "Soon as JJ finishes his shift at the ER he'll be over this way." My mom spoke up as I nodded my head. We walked back into the hospital and Ryan sitting with girl's reading them a book. My parents rushed over to the twins smothering them in hugs and kisses.
"You both go home, shower and get some real food. The surgery isn't for a while it's only 1:15." My mother suggested but I didn't want to leave them. I brought my arms up to my chest shaking my head. "Im okay I want to stay here."
"Baby girl you gotta take care of yourself during all of this. If anything changes we'll call you I promise." I nodded my head agreeing with my dad grabbing my bag as Ryan took my hand intertwining our fingers. We walked over to the girls giving them hugs and kisses before walking out the hospital room. "So how did court go yesterday?"
"I got the promotion." Ryan smiled slightly as I nudged his side slightly smiling. "I'm really happy for you babe I knew you were going to get it." He squeezed my hand gently as I smiled softly but deep down I was hurt but again I don't feel like arguing. If last night was any indication to the future...we are in trouble.

We walked into the condo and I walked straight upstairs to the bedroom. I walked into the closet getting undressed before walking into the bathroom turning on the shower.
